Happy Busy Mama: April 2010
http://1happybusymama.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 5, 2010. Time Flies While You are Having . . . Hmmmmmmm . . . I cannot exactly say fun. Well maybe sometimes fun, but also fatigue, pain, surprises, crazy-busy days. I cannot believe that I have not blogged since Christmas and now it is Easter. I might as well make the most of it. I might not post again until the Fourth of July, lol. After the holidays, I used my Kohls' bucks (Go Khol's) to buy a plaque that reads "Write your sorrows in the sand, and your blessings in stone.". Learning, liv...

Happy Busy Mama: From My Front Porch ~ I Always Got Time for That!
http://1happybusymama.blogspot.com/2013/05/from-my-front-porch-i-always-got-time.html
Monday, May 27, 2013. From My Front Porch I Always Got Time for That! I love having our adult children live with us. Yes, it is a delicate balance of cooperation and respect, but it is a delight when you children become true friends. Rom the beginning, she has had a heart to serve whether it is in my humble kitchen, an ER cram packed with trauma, an orphanage in Haiti or to a stranger that crosses her path. I always got time for that! May 27, 2013 at 11:11 AM. I love, Love, LOVE this post! Wish I were th...

Happy Busy Mama: My Front Porch ~ Hot Enuf Fer Ya!
http://1happybusymama.blogspot.com/2013/07/my-front-porch-hot-enuf-fer-ya.html
Friday, July 19, 2013. My Front Porch Hot Enuf Fer Ya! Sometimes life comes at you fast! Summer has been a blur. We don't know when it started and we might not know when it ends. I think we are all bit confused and disoriented here in the Southeast. Typically we have a really rainy April, a hot sunny May, a little cool spell the first of June right before the Southern summer sun turns up the sweltering heat and the humidity goes through the roof. Hot enough for ya? Where abouts in Newberry? Who hosts the...

Happy Busy Mama: December 2010
http://1happybusymama.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 28, 2010. On Christmas day, a gorgeous blanket of snow transformed our dreary woods into a winter wonderland. Pictures fall far short of capturing the breathtaking beauty, and words do not fare much better. Such is the essence of grace. To see a child become bold in his faith - - encouraging. To receive heartfelt sentiments from your children about how much the little things you do, matter so much - - humbling. To spend time with cherished friends that live far, far away - - an unexpect...

Happy Busy Mama: My Front Porch ~ Yikes!
http://1happybusymama.blogspot.com/2013/06/my-front-porch-yikes.html
Friday, June 21, 2013. My Front Porch Yikes! The dogs were barking like crazy, so I threw on bathrobe and ran onto the front porch. We've had some visits from not-shy-enough bears in our neighborhood. I don't know what I thought I would do armed with nothing but slippers and a holler, but out I went. There was something in my garden alright, but it was no bear. It was Ma Ju, (Mama Julia), our dear African friend. If you read my post about plants. As we finished up lunch, she began to quiz my sons about m...

Happy Busy Mama: My Front Porch ~ Plum Nearly
http://1happybusymama.blogspot.com/2013/09/my-front-porch-plum-nearly.html
Monday, September 30, 2013. My Front Porch Plum Nearly. The front porch has been sadly neglected in the busyness of late summer. It has been a flurry of activity from back to school hustle and bustle to the fabulous news of our daughter’s engagement to the start of football season for our 8. Grader. Fall is officially in the air: chilly mornings, first falling leaves, busy squirrels diligently storing for winter. The stuff is gone and I am free. Who hosts the blog Yes They’re All Ours. She lives on the w...

Happy Busy Mama: From My Front Porch ~ Sprouts of Hope
http://1happybusymama.blogspot.com/2013/05/from-my-front-porch-in-mountains.html
Friday, May 31, 2013. From My Front Porch Sprouts of Hope. I am delighted to team up with one of my dearest friends in all the world, Elizabeth Ours. Who hosts the blog. Yes They're All Ours. She lives on the warm and sunny Georgia cost, while we are nestled in the SC mountains where these early spring mornings are still cool and crisp. So it is with people. My husband used to tease me: “Honey did you feed and water the children today? 8221; He was only partly kidding. ;-). I may be a plant killer, but m...

Happy Busy Mama: February 2011
http://1happybusymama.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 23, 2011. It just ain't a pretty sight. We have had a challenging year and it shows a lot in the laundry room. There have been years of smooth sailing, but also a number of rough spots. So I will tell you what has worked in the past, what we are doing now, and our challenges. Season #1: 6 children 10 and under. Monday = laundry day when I washed most things. Linens washed another day. Sheets 1x, towels 2x weekly. Cloth diapers washed every other night and hung out in the morning.
