Somewhere along the way it occurred to us that the family room was A) not the only place a bike can be ridden and B) not the best place for a bike to be ridden. I think it happen about the time M noticed her bike was conspicuously missing from the family room and asked for it back. S is for Scorpio. That "thing" we've got going on. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Birds of a Feather. If you haven't heard, Dr. Seuss kept a secret hat closet in his house. Everything about that statement makes me smile. SECRET. HAT CLOSET. DR. SEUSS. This closet was filled with crazy hats he had collected and he would open it up at dinner parties and let everyone pick a hat to wear. The subject only gets better the more I read about it. Best of all, the hats are part of a traveling exhibition.

The last leg of our trip landed us inland, near the Arenal Volcano in the town of La Fortuna. The most we ever saw of the volcano. As for activities, we all had some ideas of what we wanted to do. On the first day we all planned to visit a nearby waterfall. It looks so. accessible from this angle, doesn't it? Like there might be a nice shady path leading down to it or something pleasant.
