FRIDAY NIGHT WRITE: November 2009
http://fridaynightwrite.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
We thought we would do our own little interview session so our visitors can get to know us a little better. Q: What genre do you write? I am currently working on a historical western romance. As for other stories I am working on I tend to write contemporary romance. I am working on a multi-layered piece of paranormal adventure. I also write poetry and have a few short-stories (most of my short writes are wicked spooky stuff). Q: When do you do most of your writing? Are you a pantser or a plotter? I grab ...

FRIDAY NIGHT WRITE: August 2009
http://fridaynightwrite.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Okay let's get to work ladies. So last time we all talked about doing an entry for "WOMAN"S WORLD" romance and Sarah was the only one to take the first dive into the pool. I like the story but it needs some work. Is there a way to dissect what is the best way to write for this type of story contest? Male protags or females? Small towns or international cities? Are they more likely to run "lesson" stories, humor, touchy-feelie or somber? How much dialog is on the page? This is going to be good. I'd read a...

Chocolate, No Nuts: 11/1/12 - 12/1/12
http://chocolatenonuts.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Chocolate, No Nuts. Fiction Friday: The Bandbox Hat. We had an impromptu Thanksgiving break last week. Thanks for coming back this week! Previously: During a group bowling date, Austin and SarahJane interrupt SarahJane’s brother and Amanda in a kiss. Austin and SarahJane return to their lunch. He tells her that his mother was a child actress with a hit show twenty-five years ago. No one else on the show has recognized her. I’d always been fairly intuitive, able to guess if a student was cheating by...

FRIDAY NIGHT WRITE: March 2010
http://fridaynightwrite.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Last week at the meeting of my local RWA chapter our guest speaker spoke about using emotion in your writing. The need to show your characters’ emotional state and their emotional conflict. The information wasn't a new concept but it resounded with me in a new way. I have a hard time writing emotionally. Why? In romance, emotion is everything! Like a principal in a ballet, a character's feelings must take center-stage. Readers want to live vicariously through the characters they read. Not only mu...That ...

FRIDAY NIGHT WRITE: December 2009
http://fridaynightwrite.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
I have written my list and I am checking it twice. This time of the year most of us are busy with all the holiday preparations and celebrations. With less then two weeks before Christmas my living room floor is dotted with packing boxes waiting to be filled with all the gifts I still haven’t finished up. If I can’t actually work on my writing I can still think about it. I will make my own list for after the holidays. 2 Do you really know who your characters are? If you haven’t. How hard can that be?

http://fridaynightwrite.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Maybe this will help me. My main goal is to enter the RWA Golden Heart contest. It was a goal last year so I'm. Determined to "tote the note" this year, blast it all! I think it's awesome we're doing this together. I hope that we'll be celebrating together, as well! Count me in ladies. This year belongs to us! So, to us ladies, because this year the world will meet our creations. So, I'll live vicariously through my mom's successes at BeJeweled. Now, there is the perfect example of a FB junkie! However, ...
