Elinore's Paintings: February 2008
http://eschnurr.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 16, 2008. A New Painting: STILL LIFE. Still Life" focusses on the glasses of wine: a metaphor for the comforts of urban existence; a comment on the communality of sharing with others, who must certainly be nearby, perhaps across the table, not visible to us. Still Life" oil on canvas 32" x 28". Our observation is fractured by the shards of street life that invade the drinker's calm and composed demeanor. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Elinore's Paintings: April 2010
http://eschnurr.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 23, 2010. As a result of participating in an exhibition last fall at the Brooklyn Historical Society, I was invited to submit paintings for donation to the permanent collection. They chose two paintings: No Pets. Pictured above, which was in the exhibit, and Red Hook Wharf,. Pictured below. No Pets. Is related to my Outside Looking In. Series and seems, to me, in its cast of characters, to be "very Brooklyn.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subscribe to Elinore's Paintings.
