CAM Codes – A question of Professionalism and Ethics | Skeptic Barista
https://skepticbarista.wordpress.com/2012/07/06/cam-codes-a-question-of-professionalism-and-ethics
CAM Codes – A question of Professionalism and Ethics. Posted on July 6, 2012. A little over 3 weeks ago I did a post on Homeopathy Awareness Week. Where I looked at some of the website claims being made by homeopaths who are members of the Society of Homeopaths (SoH) and the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths (ARH) and how these claims breached their own Code of Ethics and Practice. Awareness should cover all aspects of homeopathy, not just the propaganda! Ethics, integrity, responsibility and truthfulness.

CranioSacral: A slow learner! Posted on December 13, 2012. In the past I have done a number of posts on CranioSacral Therapy (CST) covering the claims made and the lack of evidence to support those claims. Https:/ skepticbarista.wordpress.com/category/craniosacral/. On a number of occasions I have also mentioned a PAT Hughes, a CranioSacral Therapist who works in my local area. She has repeatedly made misleading claims regarding the use and effectiveness of CranioSacral Therapy. Via health food stores.
Dangerous Homeopathy.. | Skeptic Barista

Posted on August 19, 2011. As the ASA continue the slow process of tackling the large number of misleading homeopathy claims currently available on the web, it is worth reminding ourselves that these claims are not just limited to remedies for coughs and colds or minor aches and pains. Some promote a dangerous mix of homeopathic quackery and pseudo-science, with a genuine potential for harm! One site that I believe falls into this category is ‘ Wellness Homeopathy. On visiting the Wellness Homeopathy.

Homeopathy Awareness Week – Are you aware? Posted on June 14, 2012. Homeopathy Awareness – It just doesn’t work! I don’t plan on explaining all the reasons why homeopathy doesn’t work, I’ll simply point you in the direction of the excellent 1023 website. Homeopathy has been around for a long time, if it actually worked then it would be classed as ‘actual medicine’ and not ‘alternative medicine’. Members must abide by. Code of Ethics and Practice. Item 38: All advertising must be published in a way that c...

The random thoughts of a sceptical activist. How to argue your point. Well, many quack sites parade their testimonials, so why not here? The difference is that on quack sites they are usually masquerading as evidence of the efficacy of whatever quack device/treatment/therapy they are selling. Here, they are just a bit of fun. Thursday, February 11, 2010. Stairway: past and present tense. I love a time shift. It reminds me of how, on occasion, our lives seem circular rather than linear, of how uncanny moments add verticality to our days. When I picked up the Los Angeles Times on February 9, 2010, lo and behold, there was an article about a new show at the Getty and an accompanying photograph by Frederick H. Evans of the Wells Cathedral called "A Sea of Steps," taken in 1903. Posted by Allene Symons. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
Then He opened their minds... Luk 24:45
Then He opened their minds. Luk 24:45. Studying the revealed and awaiting the Redeemer. Rooster not needed in Peter's denial? Here is a question posed to those willing to take the challenge,. Is it necessary that a rooster was to crow during the time Peter denied Christ? I believe in the inerrancy of the Word of God but think that there is a better answer from scripture. This idea is not only mine own but I read an account in a book by Charles Swindoll, Between the Darkness and the Dawn. Yeshua had foret...
