Last snowfall: Mon, 10 Aug. Temp @ 1500m 0 C Mixed. Waking up in a family room and watching the dawn light up the snowclad Inland Kaikoura Range is a fantastic experience! There are some spare blankets and pillows but generally people should bring their own sleeping bags and pillows. No smoking or candles are allowed in the lodge, and battery lamps are provided for those who need light after the generator is turned off each night. Visitors are requested to keep their rooms clean and tidy.
