From a stream-side tree. Friday, May 22, 2009. What am i doing? Why am i here? The first day driving from Vienna to Nove Mesto nad Vahom, through little Austrian towns, hearing Hillsong United song in Jan's CD player, suddenly feeling moved, and the words "I am called" - or was it "You are called" - suddenly in my head. In the park after prayer, sharing time in a circle with church folk, a UM student shares "everyone on this team is here for a reason. He will show you.". A rollercoaster of emotions.

From a stream-side tree. Friday, August 17, 2007. Walking Around the Corner. Greetings from Boise State University's Albertsons Library. I am in here for, pretty much, the last time. My classes are all done. The final 25lb-cotton-paper version of my thesis was turned in last week. It's probably on the way to the bindery now. Grades are in now, too. Wow. I'm done with school. When I get that diploma in the mail, then it will really sink in! We think we do, but we don't. Every once in awhile God allows...

You will know them by their fruit" - Jesus talking to Jesus-followers about how to know if another person is a Jesus-follower. From a stream-side tree. Tuesday, June 14, 2005. Oh, oh that's my cue! Yesterday, I finally received the official letter from Boise State University affirming that the Music Department will give me $2,000 in scholarship money. While this will only be a small amount compared to $12,000 in tuition and fees for an out-of-state student (ouch! And there may yet be money for me as a Marching Band Assistant ("No marching required") and seeing the dates for the predictive exams in Music Theory and History and se...
