Made in the U.S. As some of you may have guessed, my lack of posts has been due to a new career start in a local, private high school.  This opportunity has "put me in the trenches" and allowed me to witness firsthand  some of the issues in education that interest me. 160;A testament to our "well-rounded, All-American student."  . But I think there is a large piece of the puzzle missing in education, being simply in the word WHY....

I have taken some of Kim Adsit’s great ideas from the seminar and have started to plan some “must do” and “want to” activities for my literacy centers. I came across this iPad idea while searching Pinterest. It can be used by children of any level by simply changing the sight words that I have them write and text. What an easy way to differentiate! What is Rope Skipping? Welcome to the Sylvan Lake Skippers! Our Summer and Fall Session turnout was a huge success! We will be back skipping March 12 for the fall session. Cut off for fall session is February 26. Registration for SLS Winter Session,SLS Kidz Klub, and Adult Fun Jump is now open! Ecole Fox Run School - 2 Falcon Ridge Drive. Wednesdays starting March 12, 6pm - 7pm (7 weeks). SLS Adult Fun Jump. Fridays starting March 14, 7pm - 8pm (7 weeks). Boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 18.
