Monday, April 20, 2009. The dude keeps it real. Hawking was my first intellectual hero when I was a kid. Dad brought home the Errol Morris Brief History of Time. And I remember protesting as he put the VHS in the player. But learning about black holes led to an elementary school mystical experience. It was probably one of the defining influences of my life. I don’t know much about this guy, but he’s Finnish and this could be the European Union Youth Orchestra. 8230; this has to be one of the most awesome videos I’ve seen (well, in the classical music sense anyway.). A very close second comes from the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchestra. This guy gets points for gusto, and the fearlessness with which he rocked the crap out of that box.

Life in the orchestra. On Pops, part 1. April 20, 2008. I linked to the Berlin Phil’s. Now, video game blog Kotaku. On the game. Much to my delight, their readers (I am also one myself) were generally impressed with this simple little game, one even saying it could work with a full sized plastic cello, a la Rock Band.
