Sunday, July 5, 2015. Today we went to the beach! After our morning exercise at the track and bike ride home, we grabbed some lunch at Subway and headed to Stoney Creek for the day. As you can see it was a beautiful day to be at the beach. For a picnic,. For building dams,. And making new friends to boss around. Nixon was yelling, "Sand! Perfect day for the beach! Elder and Sister Longhurst. Your kids know how to get things done, especially when it includes being creative! Great day at the beach.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Grayson got to try his hand at board breaking during his Advanced Ninja class this past Friday. He was SO excited for it and talked about it all week long. I just hoped he'd be able to succeed. He was first in line. I was worried since he didn't get to see others do it first, but they practiced on their pads. One, Two, THREE! Board broke on the first try. I think he surprised himself (wish I could have captured his face in the photo). Ms. Holly was SO proud. Way to go Grayson!

Thursday, August 30, 2012. I love these kids. I love that Hayes asked to cuddle with me tonight. I love that Kamri wanted to have her friend play at our house because she "wanted to play with my friend but be with my mom, too". I love that Lyla comes up and grabs my leg every once in awhile with a smile, just to make sure I'm there. I love watching my kids grow more independent, but it's also nice to know I'm there taking care of them for a reason. Sometimes they just need their mom. Posted by Skye L.
