In 2012 is de Sleener Molen Stichting ‘De Hoop’ opgericht. Het doel van de stichting is om de molen zoveel mogelijk te gebruiken. Versie 18 mei 2015. De Sleener molen ‘De Hoop’ kent drie perioden: de periode tot 1915 en de periode daarna. Tot in 1915 stond de molen in Amersfoort, op de hoek van de huidige Daltonstraat en de Leusderweg. In 1915 is de molen daar afgebroken en verplaatst naar Sleen. Voor Amersfoort heeft de molen waarschijnlijk in Noord-. Holland gestaan. De gietijzeren as is afkomstig uit Aartwoud en andere delen van de molen doen vermoeden dat de molen een industriemolen was uit Noord-. De molen is in bedrijf gewees...

Versie 18 mei 2015. DE TECHNIEK VAN DE SLEENER MOLEN. De molen werd in 1915 opgebouwd voor molenaar H. Berends, door molenmaker L. Reinds uit Beilen, voorheen de molen van Nefkens te Amersfoort. Dit is de opvolger van een achtkante bovenkruier zonder stelling, riet op stenen onderstuk, rieten kap, gebouwd in 1850, die toen aan de rand van de heide stond en in 1915 afbrandde. 1956 volgde restauratie van de molen door Huberts te Coevorden, waarna de molen op 24 juli 1956 in gebruik werd genomen.
