http://sleepingcatcreations.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 11, 2011. So, it's Friday. Yay! Means I get to spend time with Joe and do some quilting. My class at Joann's went well, although it was tough having a deaf student. She can't watch me demo and watch the interpreter's hands, so everything took twice as long. Met some nice ladies, though! Wednesday, February 9, 2011. I don't particularly like the nights chosen for the classes this quarter, but I didn't get to pick them. Hopefully, I will have some input next quarter! On Sunday, I played al...

Saturday, January 21, 2012. I bought the embroidery CD for this quilt last spring or summer. I knew the minute I saw the quilt that I had to make it for Joe. He loved it too, although we decided to change the main fabric color from the brown used in the sample to something more "watery." Here's the original pattern:. So, I bought.

Sleeping Cat Creations: January 2011

Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Neatly starting and stopping free motion machine quilting. Neatly starting and stopping free-motion machine quilting is something everyone should learn how to do. I sew on a high-end computerized machine, and when I was a novice free-motion machine quilter, I thought, “My machine has a “fix” button to tie threads when starting and stopping, I’ll just use that! 8221; Well, I ended up with knots on the back of my quilt everywhere I started and stopped… you could feel and. When you...

Sleeping Cat Creations: My studio
http://sleepingcatcreations.blogspot.com/2013/11/my-studio.html
Thursday, November 14, 2013. Every once in a while, someone asks me to post pics of my studio. I am lucky. When I bought this house, I finished part of the basement into my ideal quilt studio. I have a 20' x 40' room in which to create. It has 30 electrical outlets, great lighting, and even running water and a sink! And, yes, the rest of the studio is still a mess. what can I say? Creative minds are seldom tidy.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Featured on CraftGossip.com. View my complete profile.

Sleeping Cat Creations: February 2012

Sunday, February 12, 2012. Anyone who is a fan of Laurel Burch will recognize this fabric. It's her Celestial Dreams collection. I found this quilt as a kit at the Quiltmaker's Cottage in Hershey last July. At my guild's retreat in the fall, I put it together. Biloxi "inspected" it while I was putting on the binding. I include this photo so you can see the awesome multi-color star fabric I used on the back. A perfect quilt for beating the blahs of January/February! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
