Trixie's Home: I'd call this progress
http://trixieshome.blogspot.com/2010/09/id-call-this-progress.html
The events of the world may be important, but there's nothing more important than the life that happens within our very own homes. Friday, September 10, 2010. I'd call this progress. This morning on the way to work I stopped at the ATM to get $20, because on Friday mornings my office has breakfast together. And I figured it was time to get some more cash, since I hadn't been to the machine in over a week. It is a lovely feeling! Stephen B. Bagley. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Id call this progress.

Trixie's Home: August 2010
http://trixieshome.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The events of the world may be important, but there's nothing more important than the life that happens within our very own homes. Friday, August 27, 2010. Austerity is not a dirty word. I've begun the program I'm creating to cut costs, save money and still not feel deprived. So, I will share with you my purchases and their prices:. Corn meal $1.29. Dry milk powder $7.69 (this one surprised me because I have never bought powdered milk before.). Butterscotch pudding mix 99 cents (my treat). Ground beef $8...

Remnant: Religion Under Attack?
http://remnant-seeker.blogspot.com/2007/08/religion-under-attack.html
Friday, August 24, 2007. Anyway, check out the website and the comments left by readers on it and let me know what you think. I tried to tell my son the other day Christianity wasn't in danger of fading away, and his response was pretty much, "You mean like those who followed Egyptian gods or Apollo? So, does anyone know of a religion that has been around continuously longer than Christianity? Http:/ www.cnn.com/2007/US/08/23/faith.reader.feedback/index.html. Longer than Christianity, but still exist?

Remnant: Sweet Nothingness
http://remnant-seeker.blogspot.com/2007/08/sweet-nothingness.html
Thursday, August 23, 2007. I'm not sure we're done with the previous post and I want to encourage everyone to keep commenting there, but I'm going to go ahead and throw up another subject for us to chew on. Since the last post concerned hell, it kinda follows this one should be about heaven. How do you stop missing the brother who didn't make it or the friend you didn't talk to about spiritual things? And how do you live with the guilt that maybe you didn't try hard enough to warn them about hell? He's a...

Monday, August 27, 2007. I know there is a lot of evidence out there for evolution. We're silly not to believe it, right? This post isn't about whether or not evolution is true, necessarily, but more about the doctrine of creation. For example, how do you explain to a kid being taught evolution in school that we owe our very existence to God, if we just evolved from some ape? How do you convince him his life has meaning and purpose if we just got here by an extraordinary series of random chances? Yeah, I...

Remnant: Saint to the Skeptics
http://remnant-seeker.blogspot.com/2007/09/saint-to-skeptics.html
Wednesday, September 5, 2007. Saint to the Skeptics. I know I haven't posted in awhile. It's been crazy around my house between me working extra hours, my Mom's birthday on the first and MJC's birthday on the 4th, (he's friggin' 17! Where did the time go? And trying to make arrangements for people to come lay new floors for me upstairs, and fix the stove, and keep up with the yard, and MJC's homeschooling. Geez! Anyway, did anyone else read Time magazine's cover story on Mother Teresa? I have a few thing...

Remnant: Destined for Hell?
http://remnant-seeker.blogspot.com/2007/08/destined-for-hell.html
Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Okay, this is a question my son has asked me before. I think I know the answer, or at least one that satisifes me, but I'd like to know what y'all think. Christianity claims that God knows everything. If God knows everything, then He knows that some people whom He creates will end up in hell. Why would God create people who are destined for hell? It depends on what yer definition of "knows" is! Fore more, look up "open theism" on Wikipedia, and "process theology," too. Both, i...

Remnant: Just a Note...
http://remnant-seeker.blogspot.com/2007/09/just-note.html
Saturday, September 8, 2007. Drlobojo gave me an idea, however, for my next post. As soon as I finish reading a book, I'll post a book review on it. Assuming my computer is up by then. Okay, I won't buy one. There, now you don't have to worry about it anymore. :). Hey, consider this a personal invite for you and your son to come down to my book signing on Thursday. I've love to see you both, and we can go out to eat afterwards. September 10, 2007 at 7:32 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Remnant: September 2007
http://remnant-seeker.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 18, 2007. But here was his question. Does God have freewill? So, what do you think? Does God have freewill or is He locked into His decisions? Is there an instance in the Bible where God changed His mind? God went to a lot of trouble to get Jonah there, so I would assume He knew they were going to repent if Jonah went. So, did God really change His mind? I have a headache now. Saturday, September 8, 2007. Wednesday, September 5, 2007. Saint to the Skeptics. Where did the time go? It's ...
