Sloan Family Mission, Ecuador: August 2010

http://sloanfamilymission.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Sloan Family Mission, Ecuador. Sunday, August 22, 2010. Zone Conferences in August 2010. Elder and Sister Curtis perform some humorous but serious role playing for the need to maintain apartments clean and orderly. We will miss them very much for the many contributions they have made to the mission. In zone conferences and in all kinds of meetings we always do role-playing. Here is Tim as an investigator "demonstrating" with a pair of Zone Leaders in the Iñaquito chapel in Quito. L to R: Sister Figueroa ...

Sloan Family Mission, Ecuador: March 2010

http://sloanfamilymission.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Sloan Family Mission, Ecuador. Saturday, March 20, 2010. We owe a debt of gratitude to our wonderful area doctor, Elder Malouf and his dear wife. They have been a great support to us and our mission, during Dad's recovery. Natalie and two of her best amigas, Mckenzie and Alexis. I looked out the window and what did i see? Dad and a merry band of missionaries heading to our home for food of course! Dad can't resist the opportunity to share the gospel with everyone we meet. Always time for a little fun at ...

Sloan Family Mission, Ecuador: November 2010

http://sloanfamilymission.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Sloan Family Mission, Ecuador. Sunday, November 28, 2010. The mission presidents seminar this year in Peru was a grand event. We learned so much from our Area Presidency and other mission presidents. We have already started using this new knowlege to help our missionaries. One memorable day of the seminar was spent at Machu Picchu. Here we have pictured all 23 mission presidents and wives, and the Area Presidency of South America North West. A few of our happy elders. Our biggest group of missionaries ar...

Sloan Family Mission, Ecuador. Sunday, April 11, 2010. We are enjoying a nice breakfast with Elder and Sister Nash at Puerto Lago Inn in Otavalo before we go to zone conference with missionaries who come from Otavalo, Cotocachi, Ibarra and Tulcán. What a treat to have a mission tour with Elder and Sister Nash. Elder Nash and Tim are with President and Sister de la Torre, a couple from Otavalo. President de la Torre is the second counselor in the stake presidency of the Otavalo Stake. Dad with the leaders...

Kicks and Gibbles: Money talk

http://kicksandgibbles.blogspot.com/2012/10/money-talk.html

Tuesday, October 2, 2012. I've been trying, lately, to teach Jack what money is. So far I've been completely unsuccessful. Here's a recent conversation we had. Jack (holding a dime): "Look Mommy! Me: "Jack that isn't candy, it's money. Jack: "Be so nummy! Nummy means yummy in Jack-speak). So far, all he understands is that sometimes I carry these round metal things in my purse, and I like to pretend that they are delicious. LLsouHes so funny. I hope he doesnt try eating them. Kicks and Gibbles: Independence Day!

http://kicksandgibbles.blogspot.com/2012/07/independence-day.html

Thursday, July 5, 2012. We had a great 4th of July, although we missed Chris a ton! I'm so grateful to live in a country where I'm not afraid to walk down the street, where we enjoy peace and freedom. God Bless all the troops who have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice to keep it that way! Hazel all decked out in red, white, and blue. I took a picture as soon as she was dressed.before she had a chance to poop in it. And here is our growing girl! Isn't she so pretty? July 19, 2012 at 10:47 AM.

Kicks and Gibbles: Friends

http://kicksandgibbles.blogspot.com/2012/07/friends.html

Thursday, July 12, 2012. These two are already such good friends! Hazel is really starting to watch Jack. I think she's figured out that he's the most interesting person she knows, there's no telling what he'll do next! While Jack was "talking" to her on the bed today, she was giving him some little smiles (although I had a hard time capturing it). And here is that elusive smile! Here are some more pictures from days past. How we keep cool in McAllen! They look a lot alike! July 19, 2012 at 8:19 AM.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Easter Weekend, 2009; Sunday, April 12. What a glorious day! The sun was out and everyone was in good spirits.glad to be alive and serving a risen Savior! Before we even had breakfast, Lincoln was up and looking in his Easter basket. Maggie wasn't quite so eager, but was excited none the less. We had an Easter Egg hunt after church and then on to Joyce's (Mother-in-law) for dinner with family and another Easter Egg Hunt. Monday was Ember's birthday, so we celebrated that too.
