Most things I’m not too sure of in terms of ingredients so I’ve settled in to a routine that I look forward to. That, and actually NOT having to cook one night. My 4-hour-body cooking experiments. A pinch of saffron (yes, it’s expensive, but it really does add to the flavour). 1 tbls each of coriander seeds, fennel seeds and cumin seeds (it’s not really the same with powdered spices). Juice of a lemon. 1 tbls red wine vinegar. 1 tbls paprika (not smoked paprika). 1 tbls garlic (more if you want, finely chopped). 3 tbls olive oil. 3 tbls finely chopped coriander (cilantro). Start by putting the saffron in a couple of tbls hot water to steep. Join 9 other followers.

My 4-hour-body cooking experiments. Yet another fish soup! 11/07/2011 in cannelli beans. For some reason we are finding fish soup a good compromise between my preference for salad and DHs preference for a hot meal even in summer. This one was outstanding, if I do say so myself! Prawn – I used two bags of frozen raw prawns. Fresh is better, but I had frozen. Oil – Macadamia nut oil or sunflower oil is best, olive oil otherwise. Chili, garlic and ginger – I used a tbls. of each. 1 tsp ground coriander.
