Local Food Letters: Sorrel Jam

http://annsfoodletters.blogspot.com/2012/11/sorrel-jam.html

Friday, November 2, 2012. As I promised, here's the sorrel jam "recipe". Since I made this after making jelly. Once I had just petals, I added sugar to taste (a lot). I'd say about 1/2 cup per cup of sorrel, but I didn't measure. I just stirred it in until it tasted pretty sweet, but with a tiny bit of tart. Process the jars the same way I did with the jelly. Posted by Ann Tindell Keener. Sorrel jelly and jam. Your posting was quite the inspiration. November 25, 2012 at 1:43 PM. View my complete profile.

http://annsfoodletters.blogspot.com/2013/02/we-got-these-oranges-theyre-great_2.html

Saturday, February 2, 2013. We got these oranges, they're great. Ann, wait til you see them. They look. Dirty . It's like someone drives down to Florida every year- like they know where this tree is. And wait til you taste them. They're so good, I mean, sweet and juicy. They're great. You want some? You should take some, you'll love them. But we're pigs,. I responded . And my mother won't care. My mother. Dirt (Plus, our car's already dirty). I mean, what's wrong with dirt? Posted by Ann Tindell Keener.

Local Food Letters: September 2011

Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Crawl under the drooping vines and there you'll share a world of rich ripe red, pink, or golden fruits in various stages of ripeness with the bees, who themselves are in various stages of drunkenness, all shouting the same joyous yells of celebration. Yeah, thanks Luke. I came home and made a few things to remember that by. With the exception that it was made with Concords in the book. I would prefer muscadines anyway. 3 T fresh lemon juice. Sterilize the jar lids by pouring ...

Local Food Letters: June 2012

http://annsfoodletters.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 18, 2012. O, Just Some More Turnips. Mike didn't use all. The turnips for kimchi- mostly because we were worried about all-turnip kimchi (unfounded fear), so I've put some up in vinegar. It's too early to say how they rival the turnip kimchi- but they smelled good, and look great in my hoard. This has been adapted from Canning For a New Generation. By Liana Krissoff- a book that is as good as its name. Cumin and Paprika Pickled Turnips. 1/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon kosher or pickling salt. Steril...
