Sunday, January 3, 2010. It's been a long time! Way too long. I actually forgot I had this! So my 2 nd. Half was November 14 th. In Richmond. It was rainy and cold, and windy. Saturday, November 29, 2008. Happy 97th Birthday Granny. I wish you continued health and happiness! I'm a slow runner. I can't believe that I finally did it! So, this will be my goal. Try my darndest to run with no stopping. All runs. I did it last week too. And for my training runs during the week. I've got to remind myself.it's Long, Slow, Distance. Got it. Especially the slow part. Oh, today is Granny's birthday. 97 years old. Another reason to stay healthy. She's ready for cake! I'm a slow runner.

Wednesday, June 3, 2009. It's been really strange not having a running plan. I've discovered that I don't do well without a plan. So now I've got one! I'm training for the Richmond VA half marathon on 11/14. It seems like it's a long time away, but it will creep up on me quick. So now I'm motivated and making all kinds of promises to myself. Let's hope I can stick with it! 1 Take training seriously. 2 NO MORE EXCUSES. 3 Fit running into my life, not life into my running. 4 Work on my core.

Friday, September 12, 2008. It's been a while. I really do have a life. Yes, Virginia, there is more to my life than the 4 Miler. Thank God. I've not been running as much as I'd like to. Somehow life gets in the way. I'm maintaining a solid 12 miles per week, but it's not enough. Time to pick up the pace, picante. School has started. YAY. Gabe is doing really well. He's having some minor setbacks with ADHD. But we're working with him. No meds. So sad, no more babies. I'm a slow runner. A Case of the Runs.

Unfortunately, we didn't run :( I just did some light weights. But we ran today! It was only 65 degrees but 100% humidity! It was soo hard to breathe! 56:27, 9:24 pace. She has her colonoscopy on 1/30. If that goes well (which it will), February 4th will be her 2 years cancer free mark! I'm so so happy for her. It's been a long journey but she deserves the best. I'm never sure i'm going to get to the finish when i do these huge runs, especially after my track record the past few years, but this time i felt kinda almost nearly 85% confident! Training went well, very well! I got duncan to drop water on the 5th, got up at a reasonable 6am, packed my shit and ran over to hockley and back. what could go wrong! I also did some early morning runs - love these . Where would you rather be . An hour tire pull with alice at the end of a 6 hour run .

Running slow to get far. Wind was blowing me around today and I had a blast. I listened to Storm and other fast rhythmic noise. I might not have stuck to my low heart rate, but if I don’t look I will never know. No sunrise during the whole 90 minutes, but a nice 7 Celsius. First day back “at work”.
