Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Well, that title brings back memories of the old insurance company days. I spent 15 years in one of the best work environments. Not many people can say that. We're having a reunion next summer. On the 2014 balance sheet of life, there were debits, but the credits outweighed. My father passed away and my mother-in-law had a stroke. But my lovely M-I-L is improving slowly. Her most recent milestone is being able to wear her glasses and read a real book! Around our own home.

I would love to incorporate more vegetarian meals into my repertoire, but I have a couple meat-n-potatoes guys so. I've had quite a spell of using leftovers or, as I call it, recycling. I'm so excited to share with everyone that not only did I reach my goal of raising $100 for Relay for Life, but I completely surpassed it. I was going to blog about this right after the event, but people kept donating for weeks after! Just this week my Mom called and said that one of our family friends dropped off $20 at the farm for Relay for Life. How awesome is that? So as of right now, I have raised $530 for the American Cancer Society.

Sunday, August 16, 2015. We finally woke up to the ocean waves and enjoyed a beautiful morning walk on the beach before getting dressed up for church. We tortured the kids with making them stay for all 3 meetings, and met some very friendly people. The primary president was very sympathetic with Chase because she used to hate when her parents would make her stay for church when they were visiting a new place.
