mv.VikingStar: High and Dry
http://mvvikingstar.blogspot.com/2015/07/high-and-dry.html
Thursday, July 23, 2015. Viking Star had an appointment at the spa! Al took care of paperwork, and the crew arrives. Three years worth of slime and crusties to be massaged off to see if they are hiding any problems. The captain is always anxious during this process. This new lift is run by remote control! She even swings back and forth in the sling as she stops over the 'bath' drain. Can you hear her sighing 'Aaaaaahhhhhhhh'? It makes a BIG difference. Ready for the work to begin! Papa got to impart so much knowledge. And Grammie got to take pictures! Olympia is only a two-hour road trip, so a same-day turn-around is not out of the question. Lindsay brought all four of her kids AND two daycare kids! Baiting the crab traps. Troy had coaching and was able to shuck oysters by himself! On our last mornin...

Thursday, July 24, 2014. PowerPulse to the Rescue! Last nights news said Super Heroes are the rage this summer. So in that light: What does one do with a classically 'dead' battery? One that will not start the car, will barely hold the lights up, and will not take a charge? Why, you use the a Battery Super Hero - PowerPulse! With the idea of replacing the existing pulser on our house battery. As it would happen, last week my brother-in-law had a newly dead starter battery in an old truck (Yup, Farm truck...

mv.VikingStar: June 2015
http://mvvikingstar.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 20, 2015. Kristi here. I've been working on my own projects too! Knitting continues to be very therapeutic to me. I started this scarf in February, the first project begun after taking a beginning knitting class. I used a pair of my Mom's needles. I called it my 'Tinkerbell' scarf because of the color and that it is light and airy. This one illustrates my advancing skill. The tail on the right shows gaps and uneven stitches. MUCH better on the other. One project done, another begun! Make s...
