The shopping scene from the book “The Legend of St. Nicholas.” I painted this piece in acrylics. The unique perspective kept things very interesting. It was a lot of fun to work on. My latest sketches, paintings, and stories. Saturday, December 13, 2014. I sketched this late last night after a long evening of stringing up lights, chasing down and replacing the bad bulbs, and unboxing ornaments. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I've been an illustrator for over 25 years and work in both the advertising and publishing markets. Even though those two venues are quite different, my approach remains the same. I'm telling a story visually. View my complete profile.

http://marion-eldridgenews.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Every mother's dream. How can you not love a kid who gets a tattoo like this? This piece started as part of an illustration challenge that I did with some illustrator pals. We tried to do a holiday sketch every day during the month of December last year. Here's the sketch I did back then:. I can't speak for anyone else, but sometimes I surprise myself with what I wind up liking! Saturday, July 14, 2012. Sketchbook page 2 - with Digital Baby steps. Obviously, I wanted adjustments!

Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Welcome to NY2015SCBWI Winter Conference! I had so much fun seeing all my buddies again. I am so honored to volunteer for a professional organization that celebrates creativity in children's literature. The speakers were awesome, with memorable presentations by Hervé Tullet (PRESS HERE) and Kwame Alexander (THE ACCOUSTIC ROOSTER). We celebrated Kwame's recent Newbery Medal for his novel in verse, THE CROSSOVER. I got to see my first Broadway Show! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
