A debate with a pet store employee has me wondering. Should feeder rats be socialized? I say yes, to an extent; he said no. I think they deserve to have a happy-ish life, since they ARE being raised for your snake to be able to live, but they shouldn't really be allowed to really bond to one person, because then they'd be like "oh happy happy happy. ho crap he's gonna kill me". And he said "They're just feeders and they're gonna die anyway". Post a new comment. We will log you in after post.

Breeding's going well. Zeus (my cal king) wasn't eating for about 4 weeks. I asked about it in. Maybe they smelled better? He ate two of mine, I offered him the store bought one. He refused that. Then I offered him the other of mine, and he ate it. He's so wierd. Anyway. Reason I'm posting:. I clean my rat cages out twice a week. They smell awful. It really technically wouldn't be outside, they'd have their own shed. would it be feasible? Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. Hi, I'm new.

It has red blood and drinks water and eats food. It breathes air and feels fear, just like every other animal in the world. And it's in a body that is the hardest thing for the average person to understand." Dave Barker, herpetologist. Put simply Snakes are Beautiful; one of Nature's masterpieces. Snakes are often f...

Can it sting me with it's tongue? - herpgirls

The place for girls who love herps! Herpgirls: The place for girls and their herps! Thursday, August 16th, 2007. Can it sting me with it's tongue? Inspired by a number of questions I've gotten lately (or the sheer number of questions) by people completely unfamiliar with snakes, I've started compiling an FAQ for the most commonly asked questions. Since my website is as much about snake PR as it is about blue beauties, I'm a bit surprised at myself for not doing this sooner. They’re slimy aren’t they?

A friend's sister will be moving, and can not take her 4-foot ball - I am Wench, hear me PMS. Laquo; previous entry. Oct 11th, 2008 07:08 pm. A friend's sister will be moving, and can not take her 4-foot ball python with her. She is looking for a new home for the critter, most likely in December/January. Experience with snakes preferred (she may ask for a vet-reference, I'm not sure) - she is. Not giving up her baby willingly, and wants to find a "forever" home. Oct 11th, 2008 11:40 pm (UTC).
