From the River Banks and Beyond. News and Views from Granny. Friday, April 27, 2012. Grandpa Cannon busily stitching leather Book of Mormon covers. For his grandkids' birthdays in 2012. New look for our bedroom with king-size bed from Grandma Pieper's house. The bed mattress is about 18 inches deep and the top 6" feel soft and fluffy. It took a little getting used to, but we like it. So comfy! We took our old queen bed to the basement Farm Room. Or extra bed as needed. Richard and Lorie took the double b...

http://www.snakerivercannons.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

From the River Banks and Beyond. News and Views from Granny. Saturday, March 12, 2011. AWESOME . . . and then some. It was an AWESOME day (March 11) in Twin Falls at the Judicial Building with Nikki and Blaine's family and friends. Love my three daughters-in-law! Lorie was trying to explain to Drew what a judge was, and he replied: "There was a judge on Sponge Bob and he put a guy in jail." I guess everything you need to know about life can be learned from Sponge Bob and friends . . . This was my view of...

From the River Banks and Beyond. News and Views from Granny. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. PETER . . . It's Your Birthday . . . SURPRISE! We were all surprised with a snow storm just before Pete's birthday. Ryan went out to play in the snow and created a snow man and cake for the birthday boy. They didn't last long, but were a fun surprise! It was pretty cool that all of his kids were there- Doug was probably hovering around close by :). Peter . . . it's your birthday. From the River Banks and Beyond. News and Views from Granny. Saturday, October 22, 2011. A Misty, Moisty Morning when foggy was the weather . . . I loved waking up to a misty morning. The backyard looked magical and kind of enchanted. Not so enchanting was the 45 caliber bullet hole in our bedroom window! I discovered it one morning when I opened the curtains- first I saw the crack and thought a bird had hit the window. Upon further investigation, it was obvious that it had been more than a bird!

The Elwood Experience: January 2015

http://adventuresinelwood.blogspot.com/2015/06/january-2015.html

Monday, June 1, 2015. The beginning of a new year always means someone in our family has a birthday! Here is Isaac celebrating his 15th birthday. He still loves ping-pong and is the reigning champion at the middle school. He is still a great young man and helpful and is diligent in his school work and church duties. Steve took a few adventures in January with Jacob and Mikayla. They went skiing and snowboarding at Beaver Mountain. They also went hiking and had a cookout at locomotive springs.

Friday, February 24, 2012. She fell asleep that next day at the computer playing Starfall. We've had fun watching Little Rascals, too. Little Sweets has had a ROUGH week. Sunday we had some friends over for dinner and were just relaxing and visiting. The kids were playing and have fun. Katherine had her hands up on two chairs and was swinging her legs back and forth- as she was propelling. X-ray showed nothing- indicating that we over-reacted and should just take her home, but after further. She really h...

Sunday, September 22, 2013. End of Summer/School Starting. Not grand champions, but they had style! Then came the dreaded first day of school for the boys! Jacob started 11th Grade at Bear River High School. Isaac started 8th Grade at Bear River Middle School and Daniel moved to Logan to begin more schooling at Utah State. He is in the Statistics Department studying towards being an actuary. No matter how old they get, they still like after-school treats the first week of school. LIFE AT WHIT'S END.

The Elwood Experience: March 2013

http://adventuresinelwood.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 10, 2013. Our boys decided it isn't so bad having their Dad be Bishop with all the treats we had delivered during the holidays. Here is one couple, the Corbetts, who came dressed as Chrismtas presents to welcome us to the ward. Day was Isaac's 13th Birthday. Where does the time go! He was thrilled to have so many relatives around to help him celebrate. I decorated a "13" cake for him and he got a clarinet. He was excited about that.. The next celebration was Steve's birthday. His prese...

Tuesday, April 7, 2015. 2014 Year in Review. This is crazy that I am a whole year behind in the blogging. I know it is because I put more on facebook, but I decided I would still like to keep the blog going because there are a lot of things I don't want on facebook but still want documented. Since we already got Isaac's birthday documented I will start with February. The beginning of February always brings Steve's birthday and Superbowl weekend! 1) Steve's Chia Pet from Christmas in full glory. Daniel tu...

The Elwood Experience: August 2012

http://adventuresinelwood.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 27, 2012. Our Robinette reunion this year ended up being a summer bash at our house. The kids swam in the pool for hours, we had a cookout, played volleyball, and watched a John Denver/Muppet movie outside with our projector. It was a fun night though a bit toasty. It has been a really hot and dry summer. Posted by Steve and Denise. The Baseball Boys of Elwood. Posted by Steve and Denise. Let the Summer Fun Begin! Posted by Steve and Denise. The Elwood Experience: April 2013

http://adventuresinelwood.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 14, 2013. Laundry Reno gone wrong finally right! Okay, so last September, we were planning to get a new washer and dryer. I decided to take that opportunity to renovate. My ideas may be good but carrying them out isn't always so good. I painted the room and cabinet and then we added a chair rail and a tile backsplash above it. So far so good, until grouting time came! We also hung the light. I figured this is probably the only room I can add a little "girlish bling" to, so I did! Elder Ryan...

The Elwood Experience: August 2013

http://adventuresinelwood.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 11, 2013. We left Wednesday evening and drove to Ontario, Oregon. Then on Thursday we drove the rest of the way. Of course, Steve wanted to stop in Portland to see the home of his Trailblazers. We ended up getting a tip to go visit "Voodoo Donuts" while in town. That was definitely worth the stop. They are novelty doughnuts with a variety of toppings, but oh, they are tasty! Looking back, I think the reason I loved this vacation was not only the spectacular scenery, but it was so relaxing!
