Direct from the riomamas. This is where I post about Ecuador, Riobamba, and things that happen to me. Hey guys, nothing is going right! But I am still in a good mood! As normal as possible, anyway. Still, when I come back in January from Christmas in Switzerland, I expect everything will return to awesome. I will have a new job with students who will not be nearly as difficult, I will be healthy, and my awesome family will still be awesome. (Fingers crossed). In other, non-Ecua, news: I finished all my l...

http://klaralyn.blogspot.com/2009/11/cuenca.html
Direct from the riomamas. This is where I post about Ecuador, Riobamba, and things that happen to me. Last weekend I went to Cuenca, which is the most beautiful city I have seen in Ecuador (and will see, as most people assure me). The whole old town is a UNESCO world heritage site, which is probably the reason why it is kept so clean. Cuenca has a lot of foreigners living there, which is why it has such a cosmopolitan array of food and clothes and places to hang out. There is even a brew house. Slumber p...

My host mom Yoli is pretty sure I am going to die anyway (Klarita, it was in the papers that a woman who was 35 died in her bed! Hija, did you hear that! Doctor: You weigh 67 kilos. Elks and Beyond — Jordan White's Blog. Ski Mountaineering and Climbing in Colorado and…. At 6:29 pm under Foreign Travel. Rain, so much rain. We waded a couple of blocks in knee deep water to find a restaurant that wasn’t flooded. We enjoyed the people watching and the river the streets had turned into. The river had over run a bridge near our hotel. We went through a few of these bad boys watching the rain. One of the main things to check out while you are in Huế, Vietnam is the Imperial City. And I are...

Elks and Beyond — Jordan White's Blog. Ski Mountaineering and Climbing in Colorado and…. Triple Sport Days and a weekend out of town. At 11:40 am under Backcountry Skiing. Elisabeth snagged one of me as well. After a quick hitchhike to the top we packed up and headed down to the east side of Independence pass for a bit of rock climbing on Monitor rock. 5 pitches brought us to the top of the nose and the walk off the back side proved to be sportier than the climb itself. Aja dog loving it. After a lazy wa...

Elks and Beyond — Jordan White's Blog. Ski Mountaineering and Climbing in Colorado and…. Vietnam–Bắc Hà and Sa Pa. At 1:14 pm under Foreign Travel. After spending so much time in the crowded cities of Vietnam the streets of Bắc Hà seemed eerily quiet. In General the kids were far more friendly than the adults in Vietnam. The Market wraps through almost the entirety of town. What are you looking at? Shopping. I can feel my bag getting heavier. After our tour through the madness and noticing that the busse...

Elks and Beyond — Jordan White's Blog. Ski Mountaineering and Climbing in Colorado and…. Hey thanks for visiting my site! My name is Jordan White, and I have been climbing mountains right here in Colorado since I did my first 14er at age 5; San Luis Peak. I’ve come a long way since inching my way up that one, and now I enjoy climbing of all varieties. Since then mountaineering has continued to challenge me physically and mentally and I absolutely love it! Today I spend most of my time skiing near Aspen, ...
