They feel out of place if they don’t participate in the “happy hour” routine or refuse a cocktail at a party. Though people claim to feel less inhibited when they drink, it’s a far cry from freedom. From the time I was a little girl, I looked for comfort in sugar, then starting in adolescents, boys became my focus for comfort and distraction from my internal struggles. The majority of my clients use food for comfort when they are really looking for nourishment. How are you nourishing your body, mind, and spirit?
