Zombies Scare Me: April 2010
http://zombiesscareme.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A blog in which I write about whatever idea happens to find itself in the little rock-tubler of my mind. Saturday, April 24, 2010. Goodnight Moon, and Ryan, and Ethan, and Penguin, and . Getting ready for bed involves several steps which are, to my adult mind, nothing to freak out about or throw a tantrum over but which are clearly grievous injustices to a 5 and 2 year old. And "I don't want to wear that t-shirt! After songs comes the tucking in and the recitation of the "Rules Which Will Not Be Followed...

Seriously: June 2007
http://seriouslyemily.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 28, 2007. I had an interesting discussion with an old friend last night, who was lamenting the fact that the majority of her friends have gone from single to married/otherwise seriously involved in the past two years. While that's only about 50% true (and hence more of a perception), my arguement that its not a factor of said friends 'changing' but a factor of the fact that said friends are in their mid-20s fell on deaf ears. The sociology of kate. In general, I'm pretty laid back, funny, and open minded. I love movies, cooking, takin' it easy with friends, drinking coffee, writing in my journal, traveling, beer, wine, and white russians, and karaoke. :) Hmmm.what else? I miss being close to friends who are far away, but it has been nice meeting new people and being closer to family. I think those are the basics. :) This blog I'm sure will touch on all of those things at some point. :) Thanks for reading! Create a free website.

A blog in which I write about whatever idea happens to find itself in the little rock-tubler of my mind. Sunday, August 22, 2010. A Piranha Bit Me. Dad," he said, rather nonchalantly. "Blood.". While not unusual in our house, blood is still something that gets my attention. "What about it? I asked as I ran to the kitchen table where he was sitting. Mine," he said, continuing to play with his toys. Clearly this blood thing bothered me more than him. On the floor.". Where is what coming out of me? When he ...

Zombies Scare Me: Can You Handle Me?
http://zombiesscareme.blogspot.com/2010/07/can-you-handle-me.html
A blog in which I write about whatever idea happens to find itself in the little rock-tubler of my mind. Monday, July 19, 2010. Can You Handle Me? Without missing a beat, Ethan, who had until that very moment been hiding undiscovered under his blankets ripped off the blankets and said, "Yeah, Dad. Can you handle me? Or "I smoked that fool! Or "Can you handle this? Pop out of David's mouth from time to time and, like little parrots the boys spit them back out. A second later, Ethan piped up, "Yeah! Ethan ...

Friday, March 16, 2007. Your virginity to your father? Right now the Today show is doing a segment on the Purity Ball. The claim is that its growing out of the " abstinence. Movement" and is to help reduce the 80% (! Who have sex by their 18 th. Birthday. First, I find it pretty hard to believe that 12 yr olds. Well, at least the 12 yr olds. I grew up with, maybe "things are different now") REALLY understand. What a vow of chastity. However. My biggest issue. I hate double standards. Links to this post.

Tuesday, September 04, 2007. I have yet to figure out why some males (I say males because I've never seen a female to do) think it is OK to make random comments/yells/give advice to total strangers.
