So I saw on the subway today...

So I saw on the subway today. Stories that may or may not have originated from the subway. Sunday, May 31, 2009. Poopin' makes you happy. Have you ever noticed how excited the folks are that are featured in laxative commercials? I just saw a t.v. ad for Dulcolax, and man - those people are shitting sunshine! Tuesday, March 24, 2009. When graffiti gets personal. While I was walking to meet my good friend Bradley for cookies and/or biscotti and a nice cup of coffee, I ran into this:. I couldn't agree more.

So I saw on the subway today...: December 2008

http://soisawonthesubwaytoday.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

So I saw on the subway today. Stories that may or may not have originated from the subway. Friday, December 5, 2008. I don't like to post about most personal stuff. I don't see this blog as an online diary, but today, I found out some news that I feel like I need to write about. But I'm going to keep names a secret. Today, I have a name to put in that blank. This isn't fair.". Good vibes and prayers are being sent to California. Great big, ginormous panda-infused vibes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Pastry...

So I saw on the subway today...: Peeps!

http://soisawonthesubwaytoday.blogspot.com/2009/01/peeps.html

So I saw on the subway today. Stories that may or may not have originated from the subway. Thursday, January 15, 2009. I'd be lying if most mornings I didn't look in the mirror prior to my walk into work and think "Damn, I look good." I think most people do. Well, except for maybe the blind, but I'm sure even they have some sort of adapted way of knowing whether they have made a fashion faux pas. And if I can recall correctly, I've never seen a blind person horribly dressed. I'm on my way to the top!

So I saw on the subway today. Stories that may or may not have originated from the subway. Thursday, January 22, 2009. Sweden, you know how to make my day. You know what's better than toilet paper embossed with a heart-shaped design? The names of places in Sweden. I like to see where readers of this blog are coming from, and apparently the folks of Karlskoga and Norrkping are fans. The chicken strips are to die for too! January 22, 2009 at 2:39 PM. So I saw on the subway today...: I didn't know pants had gone out of style.

http://soisawonthesubwaytoday.blogspot.com/2009/01/i-didnt-know-pants-had-gone-out-of.html

So I saw on the subway today. Stories that may or may not have originated from the subway. Thursday, January 22, 2009. I didn't know pants had gone out of style. Apparently, sometime between Monday and today, pants have become optional for women in this city - skirts too, for that matter. Really, anything that covers up the body from the waist down with the exception of a leotard has become a "maybe" instead of a definite. Don't they realize that the word "leotard" has the "tard" in it for a reason?

http://o-blog-di-o-blog-da-diane.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Life goes on. in Portland, Oregon. Thursday, June 26, 2008. For example, with my parents, I slowly laid the groundwork. "Portland's really cool" and "I really like Portland" became common statements in conversations with them. I finally decided to just come out with it. It was a Thursday night. The conversation went something like this:. Diane: "Mom, I'm actually going to move to Portland.". Diane: "Yeah, aren't you excited for me? Mom: "Yeah, but I'm watching Grey's Anatomy right now.". There have been ...

Life goes on. in Portland, Oregon. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Little People, Big Pumpkins. Now, I honestly can’t remember the last time I was at a pumpkin patch, but a midget pumpkin patch? While waiting, we saw license plates from as far away as Montana and Texas. Seriously? To see all the pumpkin patch pictures. Sunday, October 26, 2008. Politics and KU Basketball. Religion, politics and money? Hence, me watching the debates in the comfort of my own home. I decided, however, for the last presidential...

O-Blog-Di, O-Blog-Da: A Portland Brawl

http://o-blog-di-o-blog-da-diane.blogspot.com/2008/10/portland-brawl.html

Life goes on. in Portland, Oregon. Wednesday, October 8, 2008. I wouldn’t normally think a bar fight would be worthy blog material, but that was before I experienced my first Portland brawl. But this bar brawl on Friday night at Portland’s Sassy Jack’s takes the cake for my favorite fight ever. This brawl was done in true Portland fashion. And to make the situation even more entertaining, while the boys were brawling, a man was singing karaoke. He didn’t stop or miss a single beat. Memoirs of a Nomad.

Life goes on. in Portland, Oregon. Sunday, September 21, 2008. A city of "-est's". Portlandians love their city. They also like to lay claim to a lot of “-est’s” – the biggest, smallest, tallest. There are also a lot of “most’s” here as well. I am on a hunt to find all the “-est’s”, and experience all the “most’s.”. There are two “most’s” that make Portlandians (and myself! Life goes on. in Portland, Oregon. Sunday, October 26, 2008. Politics and KU Basketball. When I first moved out here, I compared the current presidential race in Portland to that of KU basketball in Lawrence, Kansas. Everyone’s abuzz. It’s all anyone can talk about. And everyone is on the same team. In Portland, they’re all for Obama. In regards to politics, I’ve always preferred to keep my mouth shut. Isn’t it one of those three things we’re taught to not talk about? Religion, politics and money? The bo...

Life goes on. in Portland, Oregon. Monday, October 13, 2008. Every time I cross one of the bridges going over the Willamette River, I remember why I moved to Portland.  This city is beautiful.  And I am reminded of this pretty often, because it's a regular occurence for me to somehow end up on a street that takes me to the other side.  But I've really only driven or ridden over the river - never really stopping to fully enjoy it. 160;And not only one, but three! 160; Click here. O-Blog-Di, O-Blog-Da: Where Diane and Portland Meet

http://o-blog-di-o-blog-da-diane.blogspot.com/2008/09/where-diane-and-portland-meet.html

Life goes on. in Portland, Oregon. Friday, September 12, 2008. Where Diane and Portland Meet. Here are some shockers for you: I recycle. I ride a bike as transportation. I gave up Miller Lite for PBR. Now, before you get your panties in a bunch, let me explain…. What’s the point? If it were my bar, it’d be going in the trash. In Portland, they make recycling so easy, I’d feel bad if I didn’t. There’s a giant recycling can, big and green, just sitting right outside our house. Wha...But keep in mind, I&#82...

Life goes on. in Portland, Oregon. Friday, October 3, 2008. A rose by any other name is still. a rose. And Portland likes its roses. You know those ugly manhole covers you see on the streets? Makes perfect sense to me, what, with all the other unique titles Portland holds. I unfortunately did not get a picture of the suicidal cat, but I did take some photos of the rose garden. You can look at them here. And the garden actually does have a cool history behind it – hybridists sent flowers to Portland...

So I Saw: A Film Blog | Watch A Little, Write A Little

Watch A Little, Write A Little. So I Saw: A Film Blog. Standing amid a landscape of craggy cliffs and furious rushing water, a pale humanoid watches his spaceship fly off into the clouds. He then self-destructs by drinking an inky potion that causes him to disintegrate into the waters below; and with that he spreads his race’s DNA into the seething landscape. So begins. Ridley Scott’s ambitious prequel to. The first half of. Seem positively minimalist in comparison with the second and third acts of.
