Cooking, Crafts and Fitness: February 2014
http://fitfunmama.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Cooking, Crafts and Fitness. Eat well, be creative, and run fast! Thursday, February 27, 2014. Now, my kids LOVED Eggo waffles and pancakes. They ate them every morning for breakfast. Did you know that, in addition to preservatives, Eggo waffles have Yellow food dye in them? I can’t understand why a waffle would need food coloring. So I went to 100 Days of Real Food for help. I found a bunch of breakfast alternatives but our favorite quickly became whole-wheat banana pancakes. Whole Wheat Banana Pancakes.

Cooking, Crafts and Fitness. Eat well, be creative, and run fast! Sunday, February 3, 2013. My weight loss story. Well it's a new year and the gym is crowded! A year and a half ago, I came home from work and told the husband that I needed to join the gym. I spent most of my day either sitting in my car or at my desk and I was having back pain. I knew I was out of shape and over weight and I thought that perhaps if I could fix those problems then some of my pain and discomfort would go away. I continued t...

I talked about some of the things we did differently with our third child. We really rocked the boat in all aspects of parenting and one of those is the way we diaper. After reading through everything I finally decided that this was something I could do. Now it was time to convince my husband. I thought this would be difficult but in an e...When ...

Cooking, Crafts and Fitness. Eat well, be creative, and run fast! Thursday, August 16, 2012. But after a while, you can get bored with running too. It can be hard to find new ways to challenge yourself. That's why I LOVE the new workout I discovered recently! This particular routine takes you from a fairly slow pace to a fast pace 5 times. It takes 46 minutes:. 1 minute at 4.5. 1 minute at 5. 1 minute at 5.5. 1 minute at 6. 1 minute at 6.5. 1 minute at 7. 1 minute at 7.5. 1 minute at 8. And I did promise...

Cooking, Crafts and Fitness: December 2012
http://fitfunmama.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Cooking, Crafts and Fitness. Eat well, be creative, and run fast! Tuesday, December 11, 2012. On Sunday, our church had its annual Market for Mission. It's a great event where handmade items, jewelry, and baked goods are sold to benefit our church's missions. Each year Zach's Sunday school class sells baked goods. Since it was a crazy busy weekend for us, I decided the easiest thing to do would be to whip up some rice krispy treats. But no ordinary rice krispy treats would do! And they were super easy!

Cooking, Crafts and Fitness. Eat well, be creative, and run fast! Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Aside from having to chop onions at 9am, I can't think of a downside to using my Crock Pot. I love being able to get dinner ready early in the day, before things get crazy. I love the smells that fill my house all day as the meal simmers away. And I love the way the flavors infuse into one another after hours of cooking. And what's one of the most common Crock Pot recipes? You guessed it.CHILI! 1 onion, chopped.

Cooking, Crafts and Fitness. Eat well, be creative, and run fast! Thursday, November 1, 2012. I've been pondering about my job a lot lately. Being a full time mom is HARD, y'all! Plus I love that I can be there for the kids in ways I couldn't before. I love volunteering at Zach's school and being able to be at every class party! I love those days when he comes home to a fresh batch of cookies (how June Cleaver of me, right? Warning - I am about to spout off things that every stay-at-home mom says). I had...

Cooking, Crafts and Fitness: Valentine's Day snacks and treats

Cooking, Crafts and Fitness. Eat well, be creative, and run fast! Monday, February 3, 2014. Valentine's Day snacks and treats. Over the past year and a half my family has cleaned up our diets and striven to eat healthy, whole foods. I'll admit, we're not perfect. I love to bake which means there is often cookies or cake in our house, and I cave now and then on the occasional processed treat for my kids (Cheetos, anyone? But there's a way to eat well during this time! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
