Happenings with Z5: Gratitude
http://www.goremygo.com/2015/07/gratitude.html
Sunday, July 19, 2015. I woke early the other morning and instead of asking God for what I wanted/needed, I decided to just say. When was the last time I did that? Last Thanksgiving and it was a generic, 'Thank you God for everything you have blessed my family with.' Oh sure, I always mumble a quick thanks whenever a prayer is answered; but for everything God has given me or my family? So, because I had the time, I decided to. What have you thanked God for lately? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, May 31, 2015. An Evening with Barry Manilow! On Thursday, May 28th, I. Got to see Barry Manilow live in concert! I have been waiting 36 years for this event! If you remember, back in 2013, Omid bought me tickets to see Barry Manilow for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled and I was one bummed out Mother. Happenings with Z5: Prosser Wine Weekend!
http://www.goremygo.com/2015/05/prosser-wine-weekend.html
Monday, May 11, 2015. For the past few years, Omid and I have travelled to Prosser, Washington for a wine tasting weekend with our good friends, Katie and Tom. The trip always starts out the same: we stop in The Dalles for lunch at Cousin's restaurant. The food isn't great, but the atmosphere is fun. Let's get this party started! Fun fact: We've been friends for 19 years! If you haven't tried Tito's vodka yet, DO! It's smoother and tastier than Grey Goose and is American made too! To meet our friends.

Happenings with Z5: Barry & Blogging
http://www.goremygo.com/2013/06/barry-blogging.html
Thursday, June 6, 2013. Remember that wonderful Mother's Day gift that Omid gave me? Tickets to Barry Manilow? Well, the Rose Garden screwed up and double booked a high school graduation for the same day and time. So Barry was cancelled. I am so bummed! I hope I don't have to wait another 8 years for Barry to come to Portland again. When Will I See You Again? On a happier note, I was chosen to contribute recipes for our local newspaper,. The Columbian's Sugar and Spice food blog. Featured in The Columbian.

Saturday, May 23, 2015. Wow, oh wow. Trust me on this. You will be so glad you did! I was lucky enough to have all the ingredients on hand, and smart enough to double the recipe in advance. Thank the good Lord in heaven for that. We ALL loved this salad, even our carrot-disliking college boy. Via Joy the Baker. 4 cups grated carrots. 1 1/2 cups garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained. 7 Medjool dates, pitted and chopped. 4 green onions, white and green parts, chopped. 1/2 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro.

We made it to Cougar Country! Tom and Katie picked us up at the airport and we were on our way to rest and relaxation! We are ALL WSU love stories!
