About Us - Tracey. Tracey (The First Mate). On her 19th birthday, he gave her a little box, wrapped just like any birthday present would be. Upon opening the box and seeing the huge grins on her parents’ faces, she somehow knew which finger that ring was for! Work became increasingly difficult and, eventually, Tracey was advised to leave and claim the benefits to which she was entitled. Diary of a Narrowboat crew. Friday, 29 May 2015. Yesterday we moved out of Braunston and on to the South Oxford canal, only cruising for a mile to moor above bridge 100 in between open farmland, not a single house to be seen from our mooring.
