There's plenty of parking in Roundwood village or use the car park at Old Bridge, don't know how secure this is. Have a decent enough service to Roundwood. There is no train.

Solohiking.ie is an Irish-based site being developed to offer ideas and assistance on hiking. While not promoting ‘solo-hiking’, I know from experience that it requires a higher level of planning and safety, should one wish to go it alone. Some of the routes suggested here do not follow trails, so it is essential that hikers have competent navigational skills. Routes are recorded on Garmin Montana 600 GPS with topographic maps installed and then converted to BaseCamp mapping software.
