Manymuddypaws; a blog about dogs, training, dog sports, life, and pretty pictures too. Friday, January 02, 2015. More adventure and less procrastination. Wow January 2nd already. 2015 will likely look a lot like 2014. I have some awesome adventures planned. I plan to work hard so I can play hard. I plan to make time for my family, and spend fun times with friends. I also plan to procrastinate less. I would say that is my worst trait. So I'm going to work on that. And I will enjoy and celebrate the good s...

Wags n woofs: life with the trio of trouble. Monday, May 18, 2015. Ziggy the Cardigan IVDD: We're In the Clinical Trial for Paralyzed Dogs! When I last posted. Ziggy had been accepted into the Clinical Trial for Paralyzed Dogs. At Iowa State University. After a bit of consideration, we decided to have Ziggy join the trial - more for the greater good than for any expected direct benefit to Ziggy. Ziggy is now Dog #31 in the trial - and one of only two corgis so far in the trial. Urinalysis to check for UTI.

Entered Brit in Open for Saturday and she rocked it! She was happy and eager and had a great time. She anticipated the recall and walked the broad jump. So we failed but I was happy despite the errors! Thanks to Liz for the great photos of her open debut! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My name is Amanda and I am addicted to dogs. ;o). manymuddypaws: This and That
http://manymuddypaws.blogspot.com/2015/01/this-and-that.html
Manymuddypaws; a blog about dogs, training, dog sports, life, and pretty pictures too. Friday, January 30, 2015. I have been training the dogs a lot. Making time for my own dogs is priority lately. I cut back an actual class so I could train my own dogs and its working well. Pixel is learning nosework. She's a total rockstar. I've decided to teach an alert right from the beginning as it was frustrating with Wicca to figure out when she actually found it. So far it's working pretty well! I know people who...

Days at Daybreake: December 2014
http://daybreakedogs.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
The craziness of a life filled with dogs, birds and a family. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. 2014 was good, 2015 will be better. 2014 like any year had its ups and downs. I am choosing to focus on the ups while accepting the downs. A wonderful weekend with good friends and a great support team. Remember that temperament test? Well Bentley took it as well and also added TT to her resume! Bentley also earned her AKC RN, BN and UKC URO2. At the Cardigan National he earned his RN. Then later in the year h...

Days at Daybreake: September 2014
http://daybreakedogs.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
The craziness of a life filled with dogs, birds and a family. Tuesday, September 2, 2014. New Experiences - Judging. Talk about a fun time! Last weekend I had the opportunity to judge the herding group at the puppy match at the Amana Ia dog show. What a fun time that was. Even though this was “just a match” I spent the weeks preceding the event reading up on all the herding group breed standards. I was very glad I did, because in all honesty judging is a hard job. By that I mean,. My group winner was a c...

The craziness of a life filled with dogs, birds and a family. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. 2013 Highlights and a look toward 14. Well another year is almost over, and it is time to look at this years highlights, and maybe set some goals for tomorrow. It is always interesting to review what the dreams were, and what progress we made. So lets start with a look back. With Peace I had hoped to work on her UKC grand championship, well we did have a couple of shoes with competition, but sadly made no progress.

Days at Daybreake: August 2013
http://daybreakedogs.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
The craziness of a life filled with dogs, birds and a family. Monday, August 26, 2013. Las Last weekend Magic and I, along with several of our dog friends attended and participated in a dog agility trial. While I had a great time and I love the crew I hang out with there were several things that I observed this weekend that I found to be disturbing. Our dogs do not choose when to go to a trial, they do not choose how we train them. Why then would we choose to make our dog miserable? Links to this post.

http://daybreakedogs.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
The craziness of a life filled with dogs, birds and a family. Monday, November 10, 2014. Knees and good friends, never take either of them for granted! However, on Sunday while in the breed ring with Peace, my knee went POP. Here are my 2 favorite photos from the day. I love the look of intensity on his face and while the dogwalk picture is not a great one, it does show how he was able to keep working even with a new handler and the judge right there!
