Life in KNX: March 2012
http://neilalli2.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 13 March 2012. This car never made it through, it was washed downstream. Luckily the occupants survived! Finally they got out, then the car flipped onto its roof and still they were worried about getting a scratch on the car? Waterfall near roadside between Diversion. Dam Wall and Valentine Springs. On the way home we stopped off at the diversion dam wall to see how much the water had risen here. As you can see by the photos, a lot can change in a matter of a week! Well thats it for this blog...

Kimberley 2011: Onslow
http://neilalli.blogspot.com/2011/09/onslow.html
Monday, 26 September 2011. As we left Dampier we all felt a bit sad that our adventure was nearly over, and that the beautiful calm weather we had there, may have been the last. Luckily Onslow was about to prove this theory wrong! The Outback T.V. Monday again, I hate Mondays! That’s progress eh? Anyway we found a nice sheltered spot and by the time our camp was set up and camp fire lit, all the traffic was gone. The next 3 days were spent; you guessed it, fishing and mud crabbing! The camp not only had ...

Kimberley 2011: October 2011
http://neilalli.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 7 October 2011. Today didn’t quite. This happened 50 km north of Northampton. Luckily this happened as we were approaching some road works. And the traffic controller was able to let us know. Amazingly no swear words were said! I think we both just went. Woe, that doesnt look good! We then proceeded to thank our lucky stars that we were slowing. Down when it happened, as at a greater speed, the outcome. Could have been very different! And then we had a chuckle, took some photos. And a cable tie!

Life in KNX: All Settled In
http://neilalli2.blogspot.com/2012/03/well-weve-been-here-in-kununurra-for_4744.html
Tuesday, 13 March 2012. Well we've been here in Kununurra for a whole week now and I must say we have all settled in nicely and adjusted well to the climate change. The flight up was good, with plenty of food and drinks on offer. On arrival at Kununurra Airport, we were greeted by a dead cane toad, which was to be our first of many sightings. Neil on Croc Watch? Then along came Monday and it was off to school, much to the kids disgust! They did me proud though, getting up and ready by 7am, then entering ...

Kimberley 2011: Coral Coast
http://neilalli.blogspot.com/2011/10/coral-coast.html
Sunday, 2 October 2011. With only 2 weeks until we were due home, we decided it was time to move on south and leave this beautiful warm weather behind. But lucky for us the fine warm weather has stuck around and seems to be following us. After 2 nights at Giralia Station it was off to Coral Bay while the weather was looking good (gotta love the internet! The first day Neil and the kids snorkelled in the bay while we were waiting for a site at the Caravan Park, and they loved it! Our last morning was much...

Kimberley 2011: Dampier
http://neilalli.blogspot.com/2011/09/dampier.html
Saturday, 17 September 2011. We finally packed up and bid a sad farewell to our lovely camp hosts at Crossing Pool and headed for Dampier, where we booked into the Transit Caravan Park for 3 nights, (which soon became 5 nights). The park was mostly filled with people we had already met during our stay at Crossing Pool. Karratha has grown a lot since we were last here; there is housing and construction work everywhere you look, which is why we chose to stay in Dampier. One evening we went to Hearson’...

Friday, 29 July 2011. BACK ON THE BITUMEN- Summary of GRR by Neil. We’re back on the highway after 2 wonderful weeks on the Gibb River Road tagging along with my Uncle Gerry. The biggest problem being running out of beer! The weather has been perfect, most days around 30 and most nights cool enough to sit around a fire toasting marshmallows and cooking spuds. Our GRR trip panned out as follows:. We have swam in many outstanding gorges with crystal clear water, floated. The wildlife we have seen includes ...
