Sunday, December 5, 2010. Testing, testing, 1 2 3. These are the questions plaguing me at the moment. I've used both, but ooold versions. So I've downloaded the free 30 day trial of Camtasia and am placing a very quick and dirty video (no, not that kind) I've made on here to test. Gotta say, Camtasia is feeling different from Captivate, but I am liking the different output style options. Now I have to get my mitts on a newer version of Captivate to trial. Thursday, March 10, 2011. First edit with Camtasia. Late last year I was trialling Camtasia v. Captivate as a potential screen capture tool. We actually have two licences for Adobe's Captivate, with what I admit to be an ooold version (like, two or three editions ago), so I'm reasonably adept with Captivate. I had trialled Camtasia a few years ago, and it was suggested as possibly being a better tool than Captivate. Now I'm not going to open a can of worms, but each has their strengths.
