Last night after dinner, HE took his plate to the kitchen - a rare occurrence in itself since he usually waits for me to do this for him. I hear a puzzled voice - "What do you want me to do with what's left on my plate? Do you want me to just set it on the stove? No," I reply. "Put the stuff down the garbage disposal, and put the plate in the dishwasher.". There's something about THEM!

I’m in the living room with my mother. It’s a cold night. The fireplace is cozily burning. I’m kicked back in the La-Z-Boy with my favorite afghan. We're watching TV. Again, the next thing I know, HE’s gently shaking me. “Are you okay? You were breathing funny. I was worried about you.” Right! Can I hit HIM? Oh, yeah, no bodily harm!
