Human rights are universal, ascribed to all human beings. Civil rights are the rights accorded to the citizens of a particular society. There is no universal agreement on the extent to which human rights and civil rights are, or should be, the same. Religious conservatives, and even some religious liberals, have historica...

Out of the Margins. A view from street level, by members of Seattle's homeless and low-income writer's coalition, StreetWrites. Friday, February 01, 2008. Quantum States of Mary. Poems I wrote while I was homeless, with autobiographical notes. I had more images now that I wanted to add, and a motivation to get it done for the Christmas issue. When I had it completed, it was a two-page poem - I submitted it anyway. Quantum States of Mary. Holding your baby;. Did you see a shadow fall. On the stable wall?

Out of the Margins. A view from street level, by members of Seattle's homeless and low-income writer's coalition, StreetWrites. Monday, January 28, 2008. In Honor of Boyd McLaughlin: November 3, 1995. In November of 1995, we had a tragedy at the StreetLife art gallery. Boyd McLaughlin, a generous spirit who had helped and encouraged many new arrivals to the gallery, died. I wrote a tribute to Boyd which later became the opening piece of a Homeless Memorials webpage. Nothing Much to Say. When what we feel.

Bitter, blond og brysom. Jakten på det ukjente. September 20, 2011. June 1, 2011. It’s funny coz...

Anyone that knows him, I mean truly knows him knows what a smart and caring person he is. Why is middle school so hard? Why are some kids mean? Life is hard. Why are some adults mean? As a par...
