Our Life in Oregon: Memorial Day!
http://allothernames-taken.blogspot.com/2009/07/memorial-day.html
Wednesday, July 08, 2009. Here is our long overdue update. I'll probably have to do several to cover the highly eventful last couple months so stay tuned. We spent Memorial Day on Detroit Lake with Gma and Gpa King fishing. (Or as Grandpa would call it, floating around and worm drowning). We didn't catch a thing. I don't even think anyone got a bite. We had tons of fun! Here are some pics. Ali had a lot of fun even though she didn't catch anything. She could hardly wait to go again! Jen and Jared's Blog.

Acting out "Thoroughly Modern Millie". Rolling her eyes (I think she means crossing them but.). Posted by John and Sarah. Andy slept thr...

Our Life in Oregon: October 2008

Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Just for Uncle Justin. We went back to the hospital yesterday for one of Andy's follow up visits. It felt very weird to be walking those halls again-especially carrying him with us. It reminded me of a particularly wonderful conversation I had with Ali while we were still living there. If he speaks Spanish then he'll have to go home with a Spanish family and I want him to come home with us." She matter-of-factly explained. How do you know? Because we'll teach him.". John did an...

Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Here is Ali's essay:. Why It’s Important to Obey at the Pool. By Alicyn Love (July 22, 2008). Not obeying at the pool is a bad choice and will have bad consequences. It is important to obey Mom and Dad at the pool so you won’t get stuck in the water and die from drowning. If you don’t obey, you’ll lose swimming. You will feel very sad and Mom and Dad will be upset. The rules of swimming at the pool are:. 1 Don’t get in when Mom and Dad aren’t looking. Posted by John and Sarah.

Our Life in Oregon: November 2008

Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Curses to Judy Blume. Last night while I was in the middle of a presidency meeting and John was at choir practice, Ali decided she wanted to try something she'd read about in a book. So, after she wrote a letter to Santa, she went into my bathroom, found the supplies she needed and went to work. Here is what John found when he got home and went to give her a kiss goodnight:. Don't you love the look on her face? Me- "Ali, is there something you need to tell me? Ali- "To be li...
