The Angry Young Bostonian: February 2005
http://angrybostonian.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
The Angry Young Bostonian. Ray" not so G-ray-te. Make no mistake, Jamie Foxx is. Why make a huge deal of Ray's "re-addmitance" to Georgia at the end of the film, while not playing up his distaste for the Jim Crowe south more during the body of the movie? He essentially sleeps it off (albeit with a somewhat ridiculous scene in which a sight-ful Charles talks with his dead mother and dead younger brother). Posted by Carl at 2/20/2005 12:08:00 AM. In the last month, we've seen censorship episodes from PBS.

The Angry Young Bostonian: Bill Belichik and His Kicking Quarterbacks
http://angrybostonian.blogspot.com/2008/12/bill-belichik-and-his-kicking.html
The Angry Young Bostonian. Bill Belichik and His Kicking Quarterbacks. A good name for a sixties folk group, I'm sure, but more pertinent for the HC. Of the NE P's and his late-season plays involving his quarterbacks and their feet. A couple years ago it was Doug. For an extra point against the Dolphins (the first successful drop kick in over 60 years). Today it was Matt Cassel. Posted by Carl at 12/28/2008 03:24:00 PM. Massachusetts, United States. The Angry Young Bostonian. Oh Netflix, You Know Me So Well. At a Dresden hospital in 1945, nurse Anna Mauth (Felicitas Woll) cares for badly injured British pilot Robert Newman (John Light), whom Anna believes to be a German deserter. As Allied forces close in, Anna grows close to Robert despite her engagement to Dr. Alexander Wenninger (Benjamin Sadler). Ok, camryn. now what? Again, who or what is this undefined antagonist? Are you upset with how fat people are portrayed in the media? Well, congratulations. more people recognize you for your pointless bellyaching than for your acting. now, please, get down from your self-aggrandizing soap box. The answer is that d...

for those about to rock: December 2004
http://jomilkman.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html
For those about to rock. Wednesday, December 29, 2004. Lazy, hazy daze. Picked up an album of bob marley and the wailers stuff from the early sixties, which struts an early reggae sound but grounds things lyric-wise in an r b vein (no protorevolutionary content whatsoever; lots about love lost and love found and i guess just generally looking for love and whatnot). bought it not because it's my usual cup of tea, nor for the reason that it's. The Angry Young Bostonian: How Did That Happen?
http://angrybostonian.blogspot.com/2008/12/how-did-that-happen.html
The Angry Young Bostonian. How Did That Happen? It's time to get angry about the modern-day domestic sitcom. How is it that the average-yet-quirky nuclear family now has a schlub. Husband, a hot wife that no schlub. In real life could ever get, a son and a daughter who conveniently appear and disappear when the story calls for it, and several extended family members who exist only to insult the schlub. Oh, and they all live in a huge house on one income. Season this year. That just ain't right. What hurt...

The Angry Young Bostonian: Christmas = Ruined
http://angrybostonian.blogspot.com/2008/12/christmas-ruined.html
The Angry Young Bostonian. Ironically, a few weeks ago, I was going to write in this space how great the Microsoft Xbox. 360 dashboard update was - easier navigation and management, connection to my Netflix. Queue and even the ability to play games directly off the hard disk. Well, no more. Within two weeks of updating, I'm getting this lovely little notification every time I turn on my machine. Luckily my warranty covers servicing - I do have to mail the Xbox. I am stuck with the Xbox. I'm angry and hav...

The Angry Young Bostonian: August 2004
http://angrybostonian.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_archive.html
The Angry Young Bostonian. What am I getting at? I guess I'm wondering where the line is between what the human race deserves and what the human race wants. It seems like we're way beyond that line in 'deserve' territory - practically on the other side of it, in the 'excessive' zone. As far as I can tell, we deserve for everyone to be healthy and unoppressed - good reason to invade Iraq. Do we deserve door-to-door chauffeur service or stadium-style movie theaters?
