Songbird and Bear » Blog. Life From Our Table. In 2002, when I was in college, I was feeling a little lost and decided that I needed to get away for the summer. I wanted to go somewhere new, do something different and have some fun so I applied to work at summer camp. I ended up being hired to work at Camp Huntington. A residential special needs camp located in New York. More than a little bit nervous, I hopped in my car on a June day. I had no experience and had no idea what to expect.

Saturday, October 29, 2016. I learned when D was young that Halloween evening is not when you want to be taking photos! This year we have Rey from "The Force Awakens". And the Avenger's Falcon! Plus we created our own plot line for a movie . "The Great Rey Falcon Battle! Don't worry, it has a happy ending. Thursday, October 27, 2016. I am in the middle of photography class by Songbird and Bear. The class is about capturing and enjoying the everyday moments of motherhood. Here are some of the photos I shot.

Friday, February 26, 2016. Snow and A Story. S's preschool went to the local ice rink today for a field trip. They got to play on the ice for 45 then minutes then eat cookies, drink hot chocolate, and hear 2 stories. S didn't know what to think about the ice and zamboni before we went in. He took the first few steps very carefully. But before long he was off riding, sledding, playing hockey, and having a blast!
