Cotton Candy Mush: January 2011
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 27, 2011. I am currently reading Nobody’s Princess. Clytemnestra should not have to work five times harder then Helen just to get people to look her way because Helen is considered more beautiful. That isn’t right. Just like it is not right that someone should get picked on in a school because they are not considered “pretty”. No matter what people say, we care about appearances and we judge people on them, and it is not okay. Thursday, January 20, 2011. I am currently reading Pathfinder.

Cotton Candy Mush: November 2010
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Perspective in Thirteen Reasons Why. At first, it is hard to tell which perspective is missing from Thirteen Reasons Why. If you look really closely you can tell though. Hannah’s perspective is missing. Excluding Hannah’s voice has a really interesting effect on the story. Excluding Hannah’s perspective sends a really powerful message. It is about not watching as other people are bullied, teased or harassed. One person has the power to stop it. Everyone likes ...I am currently ...

Cotton Candy Mush: We Perceive What We Want To Be Reality
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2011/02/am-currently-reading-lighting-thief-by.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. We Perceive What We Want To Be Reality. I am currently reading The Lighting Thief. February 17, 2011 at 8:17 PM. I liked this post so much, i have chosen to write my response to it. You actually really did get me thinking about what it means to be smart, and how our school is bent on grades. Keep up the good work! February 18, 2011 at 7:35 PM. Lol, you commented on the wrong post though. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Response to a Response. Google in your Brain. Blogging...

Cotton Candy Mush: The House of the Scorpion, Clones and Doctor Who
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2011/05/house-of-scorpion-clones-and-doctor-who.html
Thursday, May 26, 2011. The House of the Scorpion, Clones and Doctor Who. I am currently reading The House of the Scorpion. Our group is only about fifty pages in, but this book already raises some pretty big questions in my head. Specifically, what does it mean to be human? May 26, 2011 at 9:15 PM. May 26, 2011 at 10:00 PM. Great blog post Miranda! I really like how you justified your way of thinking by relating it to something else. I think that its horrible the way the people treat clones, as if i...

Cotton Candy Mush: February 2011
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 14, 2011. Response to a Response. I just read a post by Eamon Callahan called Story Endings. The first reason I chose this was that I relate to it. I was recently rereading one of my favorite books, Nobody’s Princess. Thursday, February 10, 2011. Google in your Brain. I am currently reading Feed. Is the one we are headed to, then that is not a future I want to live in. Thursday, February 3, 2011. We Perceive What We Want To Be Reality. I am currently reading The Lighting Thief. Blogging ...

Cotton Candy Mush: March 2011
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. This is a revised copy of an old post. To see the original post click here. I am currently right in the middle of a book called Looking for Alaska. The popularity of the “in” crowd does not seem to be based on anything. The “in” crowd kids don’t have more friends or better grades, or nicer faces. The only reason appears to be that they have more money. When I was in 6. In truth, popularity is not that important. It won’t give you a better life. You wont become immo...Prove that&...

Cotton Candy Mush: Psychopaths Rule the World
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2011/05/psychopaths-rule-world.html
Thursday, May 19, 2011. Psychopaths Rule the World. I am currently reading The Psychopath Test. If I could release Tony I don’t think I would. I really and truly feel bad for him. At the same time if he went out into the world to kill someone, it would be on my hands, and I don’t think I could live with that. May 19, 2011 at 9:47 PM. Im sorry if Im being incoherent, I just finished a book that questioned a lot of what I believe in in a logical(ish? Mini-black holes for my desk! May 19, 2011 at 10:13 PM.

Cotton Candy Mush: December 2010
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 16, 2010. I am currently reading City of Bones. The antagonist of the story, Valentine, believes that Shadowhunters are the superior race and all Downworlders should be eliminated. This really brings up the question, can one race really be better then another? What gives Valentine the right to decide who is aloud to live on this earth? No one has that power. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Books on this Blog. The House of the Scorpion. Because I am Furniture. A Wrinkle in Time. Honestly, I...

Cotton Candy Mush: Google in your Brain
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2011/02/google-in-your-brain.html
Thursday, February 10, 2011. Google in your Brain. I am currently reading Feed. My first reaction to this was that the people in this book aren’t smart because these people don’t know things. The Feed knows things, and people who want to sell stuff control the feed. But then I started thinking, well even if someone did know all of the information the Feed could provide, would that really make them intelligent? Is the one we are headed to, then that is not a future I want to live in. Response to a Response.

Cotton Candy Mush: I Have a Neurotic Mother
http://cottoncandymush.blogspot.com/2011/06/i-have-neurotic-mother.html
Thursday, June 2, 2011. I Have a Neurotic Mother. I am currently reading Vaclav and Lena. June 2, 2011 at 7:14 PM. We are all connected and all that, good post and i especially agree with your point about the similarities between cultures because when you get down to it we are all just human. June 2, 2011 at 9:44 PM. What an insightful post. I am always nervous about covering topics on culture because I dont want to offend anyone but this is a very nice post. I like where you went with it. When I leave M...
