My Adventures in Babysittying: Moo, Baa, Quack
http://sydthesitter.blogspot.com/2011/02/moo-baa-quack.html
Friday, February 11, 2011. Moo, Baa, Quack. Partied in babysitting terms: Run around the house crazily. Tonight I babysat Cal. She is so unbelievably smart! She has this book called Olivia's Opposites so I read it to her then she wanted to reread it. So I flipped to the first page and she said all of the opposites all by herself! It amazes me how fast little kids learn! We had a very fun night! Shicken, broce and crths! This is my candy! Im so excited to try it! Glad you had fun! Follow my blog and read ...

Thursday, July 29, 2010. Con, Ad, D and C. Monday I watched Con, Ad and D. N picked me up around 7:45 AM! Yes I mean AM! It was fine tho. I got in the car and she drove to her house. I got the kids out of the car while she got the stroller out of the car. Well pretty much I got D out of the car! We ate lunch then went for a walk. Con brought us on a very long walk and I couldn't handle it anymore and I don't think any of the other kids could either! We walked back to there house and felt the good ol' AC!

The Darrs: Springtime in Nashville
http://steveandsarahdarr.blogspot.com/2011/04/springtime-in-nashville.html
Thursday, April 14. We spent a long weekend visiting Steve's parents in Nashville. After the spring we've had up north, it was just the break we needed. Two of the days topped out over 80 degrees! The greenery and flowers gave me hope of what's to come in Minnesota. There's something about Nashville scenery that is so calming and serene. You feel like you're in a movie. Cherry blossoms in Phil and Linda's back yard. We stopped by the Dave Ramsey headquarters . Saw the original Grand Ole Opery.

Tuesday, September 14. Despite the fact that I ran track in high school and have been known on occasion to go for a jog, I don't still consider myself a runner. Several years ago I did a handful of 5k races, but if I'm brutally honest it was more for the perks (t-shirts, snacks, etc) than the actual running. 3 miles in, still smiling. 5 miles in, Katie still smiling, me not so much. 6 miles in, no explanation necessary. :). Thursday, February 10. This January, we went on an amazing trip with our friends Andy and Lisa to Thailand. Neither Steve or I had been to Asia before, so we were incredibly thankful for friends who are both familiar with the culture and great travel companions! We took so many pictures and have memories that will last a lifetime. PART I: Chiang Mai. And stole wine from the beverage cart which, as a nervous flyer, made me all the more uneasy. But we survived and the anticipation kept us sane. We were all...

The Darrs: Thailand: Part III
http://steveandsarahdarr.blogspot.com/2011/03/thailand-part-iii.html
Wednesday, March 16. The last leg of our trip we went to the Koh Phi Phi island and Railay Bay. As the saying goes, the pictures are worth a 1,000 words. We lounged on the beaches,. Hiked up to the viewpoint on the brutally steep path (thankfully it was worth it in the end),. Watched the sunset every evening,. Found a tiny newborn kitty on the road (& couldn't resist picking up),. Went to see 'The Beach' from Leonardo DiCaprio's movie,. Stopped at Monkey Beach and gave them a few snacks,. 3/16/11, 4:49 PM.

Sunday, October 17. It has been an absoutely beautiful autumn in the Midwest, the best that I can remember- mild temperatures, brilliant colors and lots of sunshine! We have been trying to soak it up while it lasts. Last weekend we went up to the cabin to close it down for the winter. It was the perfect combination of work and relaxation. Sitting on the dock taking in the view.. Lacey, our faithful sidekick, waiting for us to play with her. My Dad chopped down some trees. Steve split the wood. It seems ...

Friday, May 28. Let the Countdown Begin. Exactly one month from today we'll be moving into our new house. We are so excited! I think we've driven past the house at least once a week since we bought it. I'm sure the current owners recognize our car by now! In the meanwhile, we have been dreaming about the house with wish lists, to-do spreadsheets and magazine clippings for inspiration. It's helped suppress our impatience so far. :). Monday, May 17. I wish I took a picture of it. We talked for hours ab...

The adventures of two guys and a girl. Sunday, May 22, 2011. Last weekend we went over to our friend's place and had a fondue party with Rachel, Graham, Kaycee and Chad. This was supposed to be a Christmas fondue party but it kept getting pushed back and back. It was a ton of fun. Of course we didn't get any pictures of all of us or of the great spread that we had. I promise you, the food was fantastic! We definately need to get together more and make fondue night a monthly thing :). Charlie was exhauste...
