A Million and One: "My Papa's Waltz" Response (final draft)
http://amillionandoneela.blogspot.com/2011/03/my-papas-waltz-response-draft-2.html
A Million and One. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. My Papa's Waltz" Response (final draft). My group and I believed that the father in the poem may not have been drunk. The majority of my class said that he was, and I can sort of understand why. After all, the first two lines of the poem are:. In the second stanza, there is this line:. We romped until the pans slid from the kitchen shelf…”. This is a line in the third stanza:. 8220;…every step you missed, my right ear scraped a buckle.”. Quote Of The Week.

A Million and One. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Response to "My Papa's Waltz". The whiskey on your breath. Could make a small boy dizzy;. But I hung on like death:. Such waltzing was not easy. We romped until the pans. Slid from the kitchen shelf;. Could not unfrown itself. The hand that held my wrist. Was battered on one knuckle;. At every step you missed. My right ear scrapped a buckle. You beat time on my head,. With a palm caked hard with dirt,. Then waltzed me off to bed. Still clinging to your shirt.

A Million and One: October 2010
http://amillionandoneela.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
A Million and One. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. When I started this first part of our Social Awareness unit five days ago, I was unsure about how i would do this research, and what kind of problems I would find. Since then, I have increased my knowledge on current social problems by a lot just by watching and reading the news. Many people are aware of the social problems going on right now, but not enough are taking action. This is the time to change, to make a difference. Tuesday, October 26, 2010.

A Million and One. Wednesday, February 16, 2011. It is hard to say much about such good blogs. The first blog I'm going to mention is Sammie Jo's. All of her responses are very detailed, long, and intriguing. She talks about all aspects of what she respond's to. Her responses are very well written, and make the reader think more deeply. The second is Emma's. The third blog is Fatima's. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Quote Of The Week. Hospital for a Mind. White Collar Hooligan 3 (2014). Life As it Seems.

A Million and One: Prompt: An Experience With Pain/Loss
http://amillionandoneela.blogspot.com/2011/05/prompt-experience-with-painloss.html
A Million and One. Thursday, May 19, 2011. Prompt: An Experience With Pain/Loss. One of my first ( and [quite luckily] only) experiences with pain/loss was when I was 7 and my goldfish died. I know, this doesn't really seem like a very major loss, but for me, it was. I cried several times, and spent several days feeling sad. It was my first real experience with loss. Letter in an Inkblot. A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination. Nelson Mandela. Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Hide and Go Seek. Smaller than a Dormouse. You can't lock me in a cage. I can get out really easy. And escape into the maze. No more love to share. You and me are over. Leave me i don't care. You were gone out of my window. You left me standing. In my dreams you stalk me taunting me with your smile. And every time i see you. The gypsies come and go. But you will never stay.
