Welcome to the world of capuccinos, childcare and afternoon naps. Sunday, July 16, 2006. And it's only going to get . Having your second child means you know a lot of things. not only about looking after a little baby, but what happens to you and those around you when it finally pops out. And then of course there's your husband. the poor thing will have either up all night or sleeping in an upright chair during the b-word. he will be tired and in need of sleep, food and most probably sex. Of course, the ...

slummy mummy: May 2006
http://slummymummy.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Welcome to the world of capuccinos, childcare and afternoon naps. Wednesday, May 24, 2006. Uh huh, oh yeah. The little thing has been ill today. it's a reaction from a jab she had earlier in the week, i think. the poor darling has had a raging fever and then started projectile vomming just as we were about to go to the hospital to attend an appointment for me. Ooh, fine - just show me where. if only everything in life was so easy. Posted by slummy mummy @ 8:26 PM. Wednesday, May 17, 2006. It was quite a ...

This morning was a nursery morning so i came home and slept. then i woke up so tired that i called to see if she could stay for the afternoon. so i got off the phone and slept. the hubs is away tonight so i'm going to have some dinner - and sleep. slummy mummy: help! my husband still fancies me ...
http://slummymummy.blogspot.com/2006/08/help-my-husband-still-fancies-me.html
Welcome to the world of capuccinos, childcare and afternoon naps. Monday, August 07, 2006. My husband still fancies me . Yes, it's true. my husband still fancies me. and i'd probably rather he didn't, right now. I've told him that 10 days after the birth of a child is not the best time to come on to your wife - he agrees with the logic but says he can't help wanting to catch up on all the sex we missed when i was pregnant. And damn, my husband still fancies me. isn't it cruel the way the world works?

Welcome to the world of capuccinos, childcare and afternoon naps. Monday, July 31, 2006. So, the new little thing is home with us and already we cannot imagine life without him. That's not to say i don't sometimes come into the room and find i'm amazed to see a baby in a moses basket, or that my heart doesn't melt when i see the hubs holding him, or that i was so taken by seeing his tiny name printed on a prescription that i had to stick it on the fridge for keeps. Have been waters breaking. I went to be...

slummy mummy: June 2006
http://slummymummy.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Welcome to the world of capuccinos, childcare and afternoon naps. Friday, June 16, 2006. Hmmmm the letter to summer praetorius, impending childbirth, the hubs insisting his mother come to stay for a 'few months' after our new baby is born and our beginning couples therapy leaves me writing from a deep state of denial. Here are the things that are helping keep me there. 1 a large stock of assorted magnums in my freezer ( delivered by the ocado man, natch). Posted by slummy mummy @ 9:57 PM.

slummy mummy: breastfeeding debate ? how boring ...
http://slummymummy.blogspot.com/2006/07/breastfeeding-debate-how-boring.html
Welcome to the world of capuccinos, childcare and afternoon naps. Wednesday, July 19, 2006. I must be feeling more like my normal self these days. the whole 'should we / shouldn't we encourage mothers to breastfeed in public' has been reignited by a petition taken to downing street by big breasted women. Ok, maybe they didn't have big breasts but something about all this makes me think that the ladies protest too much. Sure, there's a lot to deal with when breastfeeding. e.g. I'm thinking it's a weird ki...

http://slummymummy.blogspot.com/2006/08/mmmmwah.html
Welcome to the world of capuccinos, childcare and afternoon naps. Wednesday, August 09, 2006. The hubs always accuses me of turning the little thing into a 'mommy clone'. like when she insists on dipping her croissant into her hot milk (so french), or when she refuses to go in the car seat without her sunglasses (well, that's obvious). Not so much a clone of me as already outclassing me. my one and half year old is air kissing like a fashionista. Posted by slummy mummy @ 2:28 PM. What a pain :(. Is it po...
