A(nother) Year in Bhutan: October 2013
http://yearinbhutan.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
A(nother) Year in Bhutan. Bhutan in summer: When even the dogs turn green. Don't go to Bhutan in the summer! Hotels are packed, roads are crowded, everyone is jockeying for position to get that 'perfect' shot of the festival dancer.I can't help but feel like they miss so very much of what makes Bhutan such a phenomenal place. A(nother) Year in Bhutan: September 2012
http://yearinbhutan.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
A(nother) Year in Bhutan. Last weekend, a new thongdrol. Appeared in Paro, delivered direct from Semtokha Dzong in Thimphu. A thongdrol is a large appliqué that is displayed on the sides of buildings or, for the very monumental in size, on the side of a mountain. Its name means “liberation upon sight,” meaning that once the faithful see the image, they will have a good rebirth in the next life. Friendly Parops allowing me to take their picture. Thimphu's best kept shopping secret. For those seeking tradi...
