Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Day Fifteen: Last Day. It appears that my most dazzlingly Japanese experience was saved for my last day. I wouldn't at all mind owning one now. Going back to London will be in itself a culture shock, but apart from the fifteen hours I will have to spend on two planes, I'm looking forward to going back. Monday, July 16, 2012. Day Fourteen: Full Day in Kyoto. Could I find a spoon? I can now say I have, and it isn't easy. Tomorrow will be my last day in Japan - where did it all go?

Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Day Three: Geunjeongjeon, World Cup Stadium, Hongik, Jogye-sa. And 4) their cool museum, which I was sort of expecting (it has the complete history of Korean football, as well as their own plus past World Cups). However a bonus addition was being able to walk out into the stadium itself, and very splendid it is too. Certainly up to both Wembley and the Millennium Stadium. There's a lot here to see and I have only - and will only - get to see less than 1% of it. Day Fifteen: Last Day.

Saturday, July 14, 2012. The cupboard did indeed store a whole pile of futons and pillows - it was up to me to lay one out on the floor and hope for the best. I was wondering whether a night on the floor would either do wonders for my slightly injured back, or make it a damn sight worse. Clearly I hoped for the former. We headed back into town after that, umbrellas up and down, and had a noodle dinner in a central place - strangely, my first significant quantity of noodles since arriving in the far East.
