I was 18 years old and trying to break into comics as a penciller, sent my samples off to Marvel and DC and all the rest. Sometimes I would get a rejection letter, sometimes not even that. Rejection letters are form letters, since the sheer volume of submissions makes individual replies impossible. So imagine my surprise when I got a rejection letter with a hand written note from Dick Giordano himself! That's right...

The hotel we stayed at was not the best but it served the purpose. People were in line for hours fighting the bitter cold to get in early. The major publishers were all well represented. Saturday, March 31, 2007. I am still trying to finish up a six page mini series so I have been busy. I did manage to get in a Don Rosa Ink. I love Don Rosa's Duck drawings. I know he pencils and Inks his own work with pen and it is great stuff. This is a recreation of a cover Don did. Inking this was a blast. I never inked a Rosa before and it was fun.
