This is my trip across Britain by bicycle. From John O'Groats to Land's End. July 29, 2015. August 14, 2015. I got up early my first full day in England. The sun was out! I knew it would be a big day crossing the Lakes District. There would be lots of hills and of course, the Kirkstone Pass. I reached the base at around 2. I’d like to say I was a big hero and rode all the way up, but I pushed my bike most of the way which was hard enough. I did ride a bit though! How lucky there is a pub at the top!

This is my trip across Britain by bicycle. From John O'Groats to Land's End. August 2, 2015. Soooo, my Dad let me know that I had skipped a day on my schedule, this means I have an extra day! Good thing too because I really need it. I spent a couple of days riding on the highway. It was awful! But I couldn’t find the trail. I decided when I got to Ironbridge I would find a map at the visitor center. Trails were more peaceful, but slow going. Some were quite questionable. I was heading the right direction!

The wine we did drink was ‘Krasi’. Krasi is just ‘Greek Wine’. It’s usually locally produced and decanted very young straight from barrels and in tavernas is brought to the table in traditional copper carafes. Sophisticated it is not, but Krasi is very drinkable and pairs superbly with simple food. Crazy to drink Greek wine?
