Kiên Hoàng Lê : suna no shiro. Suna no shiro is a hidden bar in the red light district of Tokyo, Japan. It is actually much more than just a bar: a place away from the norms of the society. Implicit and explicit rules seem to be suspended. A mixed group of artists, musicianss cross-dressers, transgenders and dropouts have created a space which is free of judgement. A beautifully chaotic place where everybody is given the chance to be themselves. Interview with the British Journal of Photography.

There comes a time when every bird leaves its nest and wants to break away from the usual bonds. My name is Alina Emrich. I am 25 years old and feel today very far away from this weightless childhood, in which I was born in 1989 as a latecomer in our blended family.
