Am 28 Mai 2014 startete der deutsche ESA-Astronaut Dr. Alexander Gerst vom Weltraumbahnhof in Baikonur (Kasachstan) zur Internationalen Raumstation ISS. Während der sechsmonatigen Mission Blue Dot. Hat er rund 40 Experimente durchgeführt. Dazu gehörten im Rahmen des Projekts Spacetex erstmals auch bekleidungsphysiologische Untersuchungen unter Schwerelosigkeit, bei denen das Zusammenspiel von Körper, Kleidung und Klima beleuchtet wurde.
