Zur Überprüfung, Reinigung oder auch zur Aufarbeitung von Zündkerzen gab es neben einfachen elektrischen Messgeräten spezielle Funkentester, Sandstrahlreinigungsgeräte, ausgewählte Strahlgutsorten ja sogar spezielle Set`s, mit denen man über einen Zündkerzenadapter Luft (eigentlich Kraftstoffluftgemisch! In luftleere Reifen bzw. Schläuche reinstarten konnte ! Unsere internationale Clubzzeitung "THE IGNITOR" erscheint vierteljährlich.

Durch einen Brief an den Club kam ich in Kontakt und wurde kurz darauf erstes und bis heute einziges deutsches Clubmitglied. Der Club wurde 1975 gegründet. Nach der letzten Teilnehmerliste sind 237 Zündkerzensammler zusammengeschlossen. Die Masse sind Amerikaner gefolgt von 10 Australiern, 5 Kanadiern, 4 Engländern, 3 Schweden, 3 Neuseeländern, 3 Holländern, 3 Franzosen, 1 Norweger, 1 Ire, 1 Czeche, 1 Ungare und meine Wenigkeit.
