Monday, April 27, 2015. I got to do some fun things with my precious children last week. On Wednesday we went to the famous Duke Gardens. Monday, January 5, 2015. Last Monday it was dreary outside and a few people were sick so we hung around the house all day. Thomas went around with the camera, taking pictures of what we were up to. Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Here are some pictures of things we've been up to lately. Weekly or bi-weekly bread making day. I also do a huge batch of granola on this day and the kitchen is a mess. With only one oven, it is on all day and I'm in the kitchen all day switching food in and out and cleaning up all the crumbs of granola the kids make from snitching a handful as they run through the kitchen on their way to the back yard to play. Friday, July 25, 2014. May, June and July in Pictures. Time to get caught up on my blog! First up, my birthday. I told my family how I put white cake batter in the pan and then put brownie batter on the top and baked it, so here are the pictures so they can see what I mean. It turned out wonderful! I loved how the brownie batter sunk in different spots and made a marble effect. Next up, a trip to Florida the last week of May to see our newest nephew, born last January. Thursday, July 9, 2015. Saturday we had a pool party for Lori's birthday. It was at her friend's house, which was just gorgeous. The kids swam all day and I sat and took in the beautiful weather and lush green trees of the back yard. Lori busy in their outdoor kitchen. Monday, June 22, 2015. Spencer is our family meteorologist. He spends an hour or two on the weather everyday. Recently he took these photos of storms approaching in the distance. We love the North Carolina thunderstorms and clouds! See the squall line right on the rooftops? Mammatus clouds are beautiful, especially when they take up the whole sky and are mixed with the sunset as they were this particular night. I named the cloud in the middle a geyser cloud because it looked like it was shooting up.

Random rantings with occasional musings and memories for good measure. May 2, 2015. Thomas loves his black and white stuffed cat. He sleeps with it and takes it everywhere he can get away with taking it. He has named it Kitty and sometimes it is a boy, but sometimes it is a girl- depends on the situation.
